School News Show
Funded May 27, 2021Thank you for your kind and generous donations. We are building our broadcasting studio one step at a time thanks to you. My goal is to have students use this classroom broadcasting studio as a resource to practice communication skills and gain self-confidence.
My students are enjoying using the new lighting equipment and the new wireless microphone system that were sent to us.
I see my students filled with enthusiasm as they go out to conduct interviews and gather footage for their assignments. The teachers, students and the rest of the school staff are really impressed and are willing to participate more when they see the level of production and professionalism my students present themselves with.
My student anchors can now use two microphones instead of sharing one. This gives them more room to be creative and a chance to improvise.
A few of my shy students now have the opportunity to work behind the camera figuring out lighting strategies to improve the video quality of our school news show. We can now go out to various locations and carry our battery powered LED lighting panels and setup anywhere and get good video quality.
The broadcasting show is slowly growing, and my students are starting to see the impact of their participation. I am starting to hear that my students are getting recognized and praised by their teachers, friends, and relatives. Thank you for helping make a difference in my students' lives.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Luviano

Funded Apr 22, 2019I would like to take a minute to say thank you for your generosity. My students are very excited to be using the audio resources you so kindly donated to create communication projects.
Recently, I had a few students conduct a special project that consisted of preparing advertising videos for the Homecoming Candidates that are running for King and Queen. I can honestly say that my students had an enjoyable learning experience from this project.
My students were a bit intimidated when they first saw the new audio equipment, after all, these are professional and industry-standard microphones. Once they started to handle the equipment, they began to say things like "I feel like a real reporter!" "Are we actually going to go out there and interview people?" It has sparked a curiosity and a sense of wonder in my students I had not seen before.
The plan going forward is to slowly build a broadcasting station that is operated and lead by my students. I would like my students to engage with the community and the student body to create and present their ideas in video format.
Thank you again for your contributions, we truly appreciate it.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Luviano
