My students are future scientists. On a school survey, eighty eight percent of students want a job in a scientific field. This is our third year as a STEM academy. Our school focuses on science, technology, engineering, and math. Students spend one period every day in one of our labs, doing hands-on real word, problem based curriculum. They are definitely tech savvy and we could accomplish so much more in the science lab with updated technology that would make use available to students in K-3. My students amaze me on a daily basis and inspire me to be the best teacher I can to them.
