  • Books to Take Home

    Funded Oct 2, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation! My students and families will be so very grateful. Kids now will be able to bring books back and forth to school, continuing the amazing reading at home. Thank you, thank you, thank you! From my hear to yours, I appreciate you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Vespoli

  • Access to Read

    Funded Aug 10, 2022

WOW! I am really blown away by your generosity. Thank you for giving my students access to everything they deserve and more. After taking this course I will be able to better support the readers I work with. I will also be able to better support the teachers I work with. Teachers can't do it alone, but with your help, my students will thrive.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Vespoli

  • Can You Speak Louder? I Can't Hear You!

    Funded Aug 17, 2021

    Thank you.

I originally requested chargeable balls that could act as microphones for my 4th and 5th-grade classes that were operating via live stream from September 2020 to June 2021. Students who sat far away or with quiet masked voices could hold the ball and the room and the Zoom would be able to hear them more clearly.

Thankfully, live streaming has ended and all students are back in the classroom live with their teachers. Because of this, I no longer needed the microphone balls, but DonorsChoose kindly let me choose items that I did need for my new role and new classroom.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting me.”

  • 2 Rooms, 1 Teacher - Books & Supplies

    Funded Sep 24, 2021

WOW! I am really blown away by your generosity. I have been teaching 4th grade for the last six years, and my upper-grade library is pretty strong. I tried hard over the years to update my book bins with new titles, books that represent the students in my class while also representing others in our world. Because this is my first time in a long time working with kids in grades K, 1, and 2, I needed an update!

Thank you for giving my students access to everything they deserve and more. Teachers can't do it alone, but with your help, my students will thrive.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Vespoli

  • A Way to Not Waste a Second

    Funded May 6, 2020

WOW!! What a difference this makes. We can't thank you enough for your generosity. Teaching these days is go-go-go, giving kids access to so much instruction and learning. It becomes tricky when your laptop is slow, or when it doesn't connect to the board properly.

This project let us not waste a minute or even a second because we aren't waiting for connectivity or loading. Boy... are we lucky. It especially helped during school closures and remote teaching. We were able to Zoom while running other programs.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

    Mrs. Vespoli

  • You Miss Me Marking Up Your Work? No Prob!

    Funded May 5, 2020

This iPad pro is incredible. I'm so excited to be able to mark up my students work in real time in my own handwriting. What a game changer that I never thought would be a thing in elementary education!

Not only am I able to use it to mark up kids work, but it also acts as a second screen for me. I am able to see all my students on one screen and see my presentation, their work, or a video I am sharing on another screen.

The power of technology truly is incredible and my co-teacher, my students and I sincerely thank you!”

  • Bringing Color Back to Our Books!

    Funded Mar 3, 2020

Thank you so much for all of these graphic novels and books! Although they were delivered right when school closed, I am certain that my incoming 4th graders will absolutely love checking them out. I went into my classroom and saw my "up for auction" bin completely full and overflowing with brand new exciting titles and that is all because of you.

It's amazing how generous donations can make such an impact on kids and their love for reading.

My co-teacher, my students, and I sincerely thank you!”

  • Opportunity of a Lifetime

    Funded Mar 21, 2019

Thank you so much for giving me this incredible opportunity. I am so looking forward to my experience this summer. Being in another country and getting to observe daily learning will be eye opening for me. I firmly believe that it will help me grow as an individual and most importantly, grow as a teacher. This will be my second experience in an international classroom. My last experience in England was before I started teaching and today I use techniques I learned there everyday in my classroom. I can't wait to write to you all and let you know what I learn in NZ this summer! Thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Vespoli

  • STEAM Up, Up, and Away!

    Funded Mar 30, 2017

Technology makes the world go round. Kids today need technological rich lives to live in this 21st century world. These chrome books not only got more kids online and typing but they also gave more kids access to research projects and web-based tools. Technology not only motivates my students, but it motivates me. As a technology-loving teacher, I have revamped some of my old projects to make them more tech-savvy now that I have access to more technology for my class. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

  • Supplies, Supplies, Supplies!

    Funded Oct 11, 2018

Back to school shopping is always an exciting time of the year. New crayons and markers somehow really make September feel special. This year, with your help, we got all the new school year feelings!

We had such fresh supplies that we got to incorporate more on-the-go projects. We figured out how to stick in a Halloween project AND a Thanksgiving project. These projects tend to be challenging to plan when teachers are managing loads and loads of standards and time restrictions on top of having to gather all the supplies. Because of you, these projects were seamless and easy to fit in.

    We thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Vespoli

The class motto we have in our classroom is: BTBTYCB. BTBTYCB stands for Be The Best That You Can Be. I absolutely believe in holding my students to high expectations, and I truly believe that the limitations a teacher puts on her students generates the ceiling point for those students. Students in my class try to keep to the class motto and be the best that they can be, while I also try to be the best teacher and person that I can be.
