  • Self Love for Mental Health

    Funded Apr 4, 2025

To say this project was a brilliant success is an understatement. The students honed a new skill, learning to use the Cricut to create keychains and frames for a Mothers Day event.

At first the students were noticeably intrigued while unboxing the various items. They sorted them and got them ready for the event.

It is a great opportunity for them to pay it forward and show their attention to mental health and empathy for others.

I appreciate your generosity and the funding of this particular project.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Luciano

  • ASD Calming Sensor

    Funded Mar 4, 2025

Your generosity is astounding. This project was funded by generous supporters such as yourself. It will allow my ASD students to engage in a calming center where they can recenter themselves. The students utilized the frames to create calming photos and create a serene environment. The fidget toys have led to a decrease in stimming and allowed students to self regulate.

I appreciate your support for my students, my classroom, the school and the community in which I teach. While the needs remain the same the funding is not always adequate and doesn't allow for additional classroom resources such as these. Again, I truly appreciate your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Luciano

  • Cool, Calm, and Collected

    Funded Feb 27, 2025

The students were excited to unbox an explore the materials from Amazon. They were quick to utilize the Sensory Tent to address their anxiety. The students loved the Balance Beam and it allowed them to recenter themselves. The Calming Sensory Lamp has had a positive impact on all of the students.

I appreciate your support for my students, my classroom, my school and the Bronx Community in which I teach. Without your generosity I would not be able to provide my ASD students with these necessities.”

  • Pay it Forward

    Funded Jan 22, 2025

I am appreciative of your generous donations and support for my school community. My students are encouraged to pay it forward to others less fortunate than themselves. When we receive donations for projects that serve our students and community, it allows students to recognize that others believe in them as well!

The cart has been used to deliver Valentine treats to staff and students, the gloves have provided warmth during chilly morning bussing.

Thanks again for your continued support and being part of the village raising the next generation of leaders!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Luciano

  • High Five for Hygiene

    Funded Feb 7, 2025

It is with genuine gratitude for your generosity in funding this project. I can't thank you enough for supporting my classroom, my students, my school and the Bronx community. Your donations made it possible for my classroom to have the bare necessities for the cold and flu season.

The tissues, cleaning products and chapsticks have made this winter season less "messy". This cold season has been long and arduous journey, full of chapped lips and runny noses. your donations helped to fund this project that will provide classroom necessities.

Thanks for the support, you are part of the village helping raise our future leaders!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Luciano

  • Hot Lunch for All!

    Funded Jan 24, 2025

At times, students in our charge may experience housing and food inconsistency. This project serves as an alternative. We can support our students by providing them with to go lunches/dinners as well as offering warm mittens to keep their hands warm as they travel to and from school.

This project has been created to support our middle schoolers but at times it often reaches their parents as well. We are thankful for your generosity and support for the program. This makes my job easier when I am able to keep the "hangries" away!”

    With gratitude,

  • Sweet Success!

    Funded Jan 23, 2025

This project was utilized to celebrate our Math scholars. Each month each classroom teacher nominates two students that exhibited superior math growth for the past 30 days. These students are celebrated with an Award and they choose candy. The candy serves as an incentive in a positive approach. The students are working for a reward.

This project has made it able for the acting math supervisor to award this candy monthly without incurring an additional personal expense.

We are deeply touched by your generosity. We can't provide this without you!”

  • Classroom Necessities for the New Year

    Funded Jan 18, 2025

This project was funded at the perfect time! The flu season is here and we need tissues and wipes to keep the students and teachers healthy. Without the generous support of donors such as yourself, sadly providing the classroom essentials would not be attainable.

I am appreciative of the monetary donation but more so the kind words from Donors encouraging educators to continue to pursue providing for the students.

I am a Veteran educator and since joining Donors Choose I have been fortunate to support my students with the essentials to make their learning journey superior. It is due to all of my donors. Much thanks!”

    With gratitude,
