We truly appreciate your support. My hope is that our students blossom into the avid readers that we all have within. Thank you for helping our students discover stories that they see themselves reflected in and maybe even stories that are unlike their own, yet still important.

Thank you for making a difference is our students' lives!”

  • No More Growling Tummies

    Funded Feb 20, 2025

We appreciate your kind donations to our classroom. Our students now have a place on campus where they can stop by if they are hungry, no questions asked.

Not only do these snacks support the nourishment of our students' bodies, but also helps build trusting relationships between adults and young people.

Thank you for helping us develop a safe learning environment for all.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Santos

  • No More Growling Tummies

    Funded Sep 19, 2024

We appreciate the kind donation to our student community. Because of your support, students have been able to eat nutritious snacks during their long school day. Some of them refuse school lunches due to stigma and will go a full day without food. This is extremely problematic given that their bodies are growing and need proper nutrition for their development.

Thanks to you, students now know that there is a place at our school where they can find snacks that will keep them going throughout their day. Furthermore, the know where there is a safe space for them where no questions will be asked. They're always welcome to come and take what they need.”

    With gratitude,

  • Books That Speak

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

Thank you very much for your kind donation to our classroom libraries. Because of you, at least two rooms in our school have classroom libraries that are as diverse as our student population. More than 200 students that file in and out of these classrooms daily have access to stories that are as rich as their own. While some students may find their own lived realities mirrored in these novels, other students may find themselves exploring worlds that are far from their own.

Thank you for giving our students the opportunity to dive into reading and find a love for literature.”

  • School Supplies that Spark Our Minds

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

We kindly appreciate your donation to our classroom space. Our students are creative individuals with so much to show the world, but simply lack some of the basic supplies that will support their talents. These school and art supplies will be put to great use. With your help, students will be able to employ their academic and artistic abilities.”

  • No More Growling Tummies

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

We are incredibly thankful for your generous donations to our school community. Our students need quality, nutritional snacks through out their day to accommodate their ever-growing bodies.

Because of your kind gift, our students now know that there is a place on campus where they can drop by to pick up a snack when they are hungry or running low on energy. The best part is that usually students stop by to pick up a snack and end up leaving with so much more. They are often given food and made aware of services and resources that our school offers. They leave with much more than they thought they would!”

  • No More Growling Tummies

    Funded May 17, 2023

We appreciate your support. Because of your kind donations, students were able to have healthy, yummy snacks during finals and summer session. Many times, students will show up to school with growling tummies because they do not have sufficient food before showing up to school.

Knowing where they can find snacks on campus has allowed us to create a more welcoming, caring environment for all children. This, in turn, allows us to help students focus on their academic tasks as opposed to how hungry they may be.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Santos

  • No More Growling Tummies

    Funded Jan 12, 2023

We are very grateful for your kind donation. This school year, students were able to get a snack at any time of the day (with educator permission, of course!) to help keep their stomach full and to help with concentration. Specially during final and other state examinations, students found their way to my drawer for a snack that would allow them to study with more ease and lower their anxiety.

Although getting them to eat a complete meal during the school day is still a difficult task, you are helping make a difference one snack at a time.”

  • Diverse Novels for Diverse Readers

    Funded Oct 28, 2022

Thank you very much for providing our students with the opportunity to engage with diverse literature that will forever have an impact on their formation as readers and lifelong learners. Students have enjoyed these books so much that they have asked to read them more than once and some have even asked if they can take the books home with them at the end of the school year.

We appreciate you thinking about our students and providing them access to books that are reflective of realities (or fictions) that are unlike their own lived experiences.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Santos
