Back to School with Basics
Funded Jul 24, 2021Our safety scissors were a great way to start the year off with the skill of cutting! We have been cutting art projects and letters when we build words. Our journals are also a great way for the students to practice their letters and writing sentences. They are very proud that they can use these supplies and love to share their drawings and sentences. I even had one student say this week, "It's like Show and Tell." With the pandemic affecting shipping it has made it difficult to access supplies we used to easily get from our sites. Thank you for helping us!”

Funded Sep 1, 2021The students have been using their crayons daily! We have been doing directed drawing and then working on writing a sentence to go with it. They are great artists. They have also earned eraser pets as we have been using our Super Improver Wall. As the students receive stickers on their tickets they move up a level. Their pencil pouches have kept their supplies safe and clean daily! Our stickers are almost all gone since daily we do a practice page in our "Know It and Show It" book. They love to scratch and sniff their stickers. Soon we will be needing some replacement stickers and leveling up to colored pencils. These are great students who have learned so much in these first few months of Kindergarten!”

Activities: Hands-On and Virtual!
Funded May 4, 2021The ability to use great teacher made resources has been wonderful! The Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards has allowed me to choose a variety of activities that are suitable for my students and the platforms we will be using. I have been able to get more hands-on materials for the students but also some tech items that we have learned to use. The hands on items have helped with science, math, and reading. Thank you for supporting our students and my vision! Without your help there is no way I would be able to access these resources on my own.”

Funded Oct 9, 2021Thank you for the opportunity to get these resources into my students hands. They will help reinforce and solidify learning of letters and numbers. They will also be able to work on social emotional learning. I can’t wait for the students to get started when these learning materials arrive.”

Funded Jul 30, 2021We have utilized all these supplies daily! The students have pencils to write with, glue to create art projects and dry marker erasers to make it easier when we are learning with our whiteboards. The students are so excited to have their own glue sticks, pencils, and erasers that they can easily access from their pencil pouches.
Having these individual supplies also helps us to stay safe and free from germs. Thank you for supporting our class! Without your support this would not have been possible.”

Funded Jul 29, 2021The air quality has finally gotten better and the students have been able to go outside and play. The fires are still burning but they are getting contained and so the students have been able to play with the hula hoops, balls and corn hole game. They have enjoyed being able to have different equipment to choose from. They are able to share and keep physically active with all these resources. The students were so excited when we were able to roll out my cart that we use to transport our equipment. The students are also learning how to be responsible in gathering and caring for all the equipment. Thank you for supporting us! Without your help this couldn't be possible.”

Our Woodland Classroom
Funded Jun 24, 2021Thank you for making the classroom so welcoming for my students! The nameplates and labels are on their cubbies, the name tags they wore the first few weeks of school. Our bulletin boards are so welcoming and again make the class a woodland classroom. The decorations hang from various parts of the classroom. The lanterns and lights are lighting up our library.
The students are so excited to use our library and to have a classroom theme that is fun and warm. Thank you for supporting us and making this year start off with such a bang!”

Gathering Space
Funded Aug 12, 2021The students were so excited when they saw our tree rug. They each have a leaf they can sit on during lessons and story time. With the unhealthy air quality due to the fires around our area the room has been the prime location for indoor recess. It's the perfect place to build with blocks, magnets and build puzzles.
Having this option this year has been wonderful. It has helped built our little school family. It's a wonderful gathering space and the students enjoy our time together. Thank you for your support.”

Funded Jun 2, 2021The students have loved the reveal of our reading buddies! Everyday I introduced one of our woodland buddies. Our raccoon, fawn, bear and fox are part of our class family. The students are already wanting more reading buddies. A request for an owl and rabbit have already been noted. The students were so excited to model great behavior to our new friends. The pillows have also been a great comfort for the kids reading in our library or for students who were feeling homesick and needed a bit of time to regroup.
Thank you for providing this comfort and warmth for my students. Without your support this would not have been possible.”

Countdown Fun! Part 2
Funded Apr 21, 2021This year the ABC countdown to Summer was a huge success! We used the modeling clay to create and the iron on transfers made their t-shirts unique. The t-shirts were used to X-change autographs. The iron on transfer said, "Last Day in K!." This wonderful tradition is used in our primary classrooms and I'm so glad we were able to participate in a way that will be memorable to the students. Thank you for supporting my students and helping them celebrate all their learning this year. Without donors like you a lot of great activities wouldn't be possible.”
