  • Gross Motor Building in Pre-K

    Funded Feb 6, 2025

Thank you so much for donating the gross motor building materials for our early childhood classes! These materials have made our indoor exercise environment so much more fun to use. It has been such a cold winter that our roof top playground has been covered in ice and we have been unable to go outdoors. The materials you have provided have kept us busy and moving by letting us build obstacle courses , use indoor scooters and jumpers! We have been having so much fun while building our gross motor skills! The love the balance beams and stepping stones! These materials are being used by six classes this year and will be used by many classes in the years to come! We truly appreciate your generosity!”

  • Rewarding 100 Days of Hard Work!

    Funded Feb 3, 2025

Thank you so much for making our 100th day of school so special with a 100 Days Brighter Glow Party! Our class has worked so hard to learn how to separate from their families and caregivers, learn classroom routines, follow classroom rules and work with other students. They have come so far in respecting other students spaces and voices and they have really grown so much academically! Most of our students now know how to write their names, numbers, and many letters. They are getting ready for kindergarten. They really deserved a reward for all of the positive work they have put in and this party really made them feel so special! I love hearing them talk about it days later! Thank you so much for making this possible. Positive reinforcement it so important and this will really motivate them to learn and cooperate with their classmates the rest of the school year!”

  • Racial Justice and Representation in PreK

    Funded Jan 12, 2025

Thank you so much for helping our class get materials for Racial Justice and Representation in Pre-K. It really helped our young students have the materials they needed to learn about Black History Month. We kicked of the beginning of Black History Month by making beaded necklaces. We also made representations of ourselves that looked just like us with speech bubbles telling why we are special and important.

The books you provided help make explaining biographies and the history of Black History Month accessible for our younger learners.

The dolls make everyone feel like they have a baby that looks like them in our dramatic play center.

Thank you for making us all feel included!”

  • Crafts and Books to Celebrate the Lunar New Year

    Funded Jan 10, 2025

Thank you so much for helping make learning about the Lunar New Year so special this year! We learned so much reading the new picture books and listening to stories on the Tonie box. The Five Little Dumplings Book was our favorite book and we read it several days straight!

The students loved learning about how the Lunar New Year is celebrated with fireworks and how Dragons chase out the old year and bad luck. The students loved making colorful dragon puppets to chase out the old year!

The Snake scratch off art was so much fun and a great way for us to welcome the year of the snake! We had so much fun learning about different countries and cultures that celebrate the Lunar New Year! Thank you for making it possible!”

  • Gingerbread and Snowman Fun

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Thank you so much for making our December Unit on Gingerbread and Snowmen so much fun! The students really loved playing with the gingerbread stuffies in the dramatic play center. They had a blast creating gingerbread scratch art, adding gingerbread figurines to our snow globes and making gingerbread ornaments.

The "Sneezy the Snowman" book was hilarious! We read it every day for a week and the kids laughed more and more every time we read it. They enjoyed creating the clay snowmen and were so happy that they didn't melt like Sneezy!

Your donation made our December Learning so much fun and so hands on! We really appreciate your generosity!”

  • STEM Starts Early in Pre-K

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

Thank you so much for donating all of the STEM materials! My students were so excited to dive right in as soon as they arrived! They loved using the magnifiers and microscope! They were exploring things all over the classroom trying to get a closer look at everything.

They loved the life cycle puzzles. We've learned about a few different types of life cycles but these really were much more in depth and they loved learning about different plants and animals. They really ignited so many questions!

The other materials about the body we are going to save for our exercise unit. We learn about our lungs, muscles and cardiovascular health then. The students are going to go wild for the body puzzles!

Thank you so much for your generous contribution. It has sparked so much STEM curiosity in my class and my students are so excited to learn!!”

  • A LifeVac and other Personal Care Items for PreK

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

Thank you so much for donating a Life Vac, Band-Aids and Calm Down toys to help with emotional regulation to our class. Fortunately, we haven't had to use the Life Vac yet, we eat two meals and a snack in our classroom everyday and we feel so much calmer knowing that we have a way to save a child who is choking!

My four year old students love the Band-Aid choices they have now. Picking out their favorite character on a bandaid really works wonders on the pain!

The Cml down corner toys have also helped with emotional regulation. The breathing budy koala has helped us focus on our breath and has stoped a tantrum or two in its tracks! The emotion tubes help us describe our feelings and are fun o look at when we are upset.

    We really appreciate your generosity!”

My class is filled with energetic and enthusiastic students who are always eager to learn new things and engage in hands-on lessons. We are a CTT class so we have some students with special needs such as speech, sensory issues, learning disabilities and processing issues. Many of the children in our class are learning the English language. We are always working together as a team to build our vocabulary as well as develop our math and literacy skills. Many of our literacy lessons are based on science and we try to incorporate as much STEM as we can. Our class goal is to create a love of learning in a respectful environment that's filled with fun! We build on each other's strengths and are learning to embrace each other's differences while developing a strong educational foundation together.
