Listen Up!
Funded Mar 22, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donation to provide headphones for the students to use with their chromebooks during my Science and Social Studies Classes. The extra headphones make it possible for more students to have access to hearing and therefore learning through the audiable online lessons.
The headphones stay put in my class and throughout the day as my classes rotate, the students are able to share and use the headphones for various online lessons in my room. Most students do have some form of headphones, but some don't have any and/or the headphones break and they no longer have any to use. The headphones you donated for are heavy duty and will last for many years.
All the students want to use them now. They are very stylish and have excellent sound.
They definitly make learning more enjoyable and productive.
Thank you again, so much! We appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness!”

A Need to Play & Build Relationships
Funded Sep 30, 2018The recess activity equipment and the indoor recess games are quite the hit!!! When the students saw the color coded blue basketball & soccer balls, they knew immediately the balls belonged to the 4th graders and 4th graders only! They didn't have to share the equipment with the 3rd and 5th graders. (Which is so awesome because the balls were constantly being torn up or lost.) Next, they saw the brightly colored dodge balls, hoola hoops, and the many indoor games and were even more excited!
The next day, students were able to take the different balls and Hola hoops outside for recess's! They were so excited! The blue soccer and basketballs were the faves! The ball bag that was also included in the donation has been a life saver!! The ball bag is large enough to get all the recess balls and Hola hoops in. Every day we have specific students from each class that are responsible for getting the equipment out and back in from recess.
The first indoor recess day we had with the new games, the students were also very excited!! At first, they didn't know which game they wanted to play because all the games looked so fun! Once the kids saw all the different games available, they found a game and actually stayed focused and kept playing the same game for the 25 minute recess play period. All the kids seemed to get along very well and cleaned up quickly without any problems.
The students have really been taking care of the equipment and games and making sure they are put up properly everyday. Their care and responsibility is showing.
We will continue to allow the students to use the recess equipment and games everyday they have an outdoor and the indoor recess.
The games & equipment were definitely in need!!! We appreciate your generosity very much!!! Thank you!!!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Roberson
