Scholastic News and Workbooks for Eager Learners!
Funded May 5, 2021Thank you all so very much for coming together to help fund our project! My 20-21 students were able to get some really nice workbooks for math and language arts for summer practice and my new bunch of kiddos this year are able to enjoy "Let's Find Out!" Scholastic news magazines for each month of the school year. This also includes a digital resources in case we would be placed on remote learning at anytime throughout the school year, so my kids can access it at home! We used these resources last year and they were amazing and age appropriate with lots of current event topics that my young students really enjoyed!
Thank you for your help in making this project a reality in my classroom! πβ

Funded Mar 31, 2021Thank you so much for your kindness and support with this project! I had small draw string bags filled with tons of amazing leaning resources to keep the kids busy over the summer! They had a K-1st grade workbook to practice and review skills over the summer, several age appropriate books, arts and crafts, crayons, pencils, playdoh, bubbles, and even some snack packs of healthy treats!
Each child got one and I had so many parents send me messages of thanks and a few pictures of their kiddo working on things each morning. They were begging parents to let them! I think that is amazing and made me so happy that the Summer Learning Bags were useful! Everyone had such a rough learning year with Covid restrictions, part time in person learning, all remote learning, I was happy to give my kids fun resources to get a little more practice in before the 1st grade transition.
Thank you so much for helping to make this a reality for my students!! It was appreciated!! πβ

Funded Mar 27, 2021Thank you so much for helping us to be able to get a full functioning set of Pattern Blocks to finish out our school year this year. The kids love to design and create with Pattern Blocks. These blocks will also be used for many more years now that we have a full set! It has been difficult not being able to share and for all the kids to have their own blocks. Plus, many were sent home to use at home when we were sent home on Remote learning for about 6 weeks.
These Pattern blocks and new pattern cards, and storage containers are going to be great assets for this year as well as for many years to come! I am very thankful for your help in getting these in my classroom. Thank you for making a difference for so many kiddos! πβ

Build-A-Bear for Positive Behavior!
Funded May 4, 2021Oh my goodness! The Build-A-Bear gift cards were a HUGE hit for the kids! They were so excited at the thought of earning one and being able to pick out their own stuffed animal due to their hard work and effort all year long! The students that earned these were so excited and a few have even got their stuffed animal already and were excited to share with me the good news!
I love the fact that we are rewarding students for the positive choices they make and that they work hard to do to earn the punches on our punch cards! I appreciate all the donors who came together to make this project get funded quickly so we could get them before our end of the year bash! I a hopeful that we will have more students working hard to earn this reward next year if we are able to offer them again! Thank you all for making a difference in our school! πβ

Funded Jan 16, 2021Thank you so much for your support and generosity to get these amazing Literacy Versatile Kits into my classroom! We have just started using them and the kids are really getting the hang of them and absolutely love them! We used them at the morning center time this past week and the kids wanted me to keep them out for one more week! I usually rotate them in and out each week to keep them engaged, but these did the trick and they even want more time with them. π
I love the fact that they are learning, but also having so much fun! That is exactly what I want to happen in my kindergarten room! I am so excited that they come with all sorts of levels of skills, so that my kids can work at their ability as well and on specific skills that they need extra practice with!
Thank you for making a difference in my classroom for years to come! πβ

Funded Feb 14, 2021Oh my goodness! The kids have had so much fun already learning and manipulating all the new activities and learning centers. These have been wonderful to add to our rotation. It has been a little trickier to try to limit sharing items, so I try to have several things going at once to keep the kids engaged.
Their favorite so far is building and creating with the foam at art center and were even able to take theirs home to use for more learning fun. My favorite it building words with the letter tiles. We have done this a few times and the kids really enjoy trying to build a new word as well to show me. I cannot wait to continue learning with them.
I am so thankful to all my amazing donors who worked together to make this project come to life in my classroom. These items will be used for many years to come and I truly appreciate all of your generosity and kindness! Thank you for making a difference in my classroom! :)β

Math Fluency Kit for Counting in Kindergarten!
Funded Dec 12, 2020Thank you so much for coming together and helping us get this Hand2Mind Math kit for our classroom. The kids really enjoy our quick lesson each day and they love the manipulatives that they are able to use to practice some of the skills in the lessons that we have had so far!
I think this is an awesome tool to beef up our regular math series and add some new activities and practice things our current series has! It is short enough we can do a quick lesson nearly every day and the kids like it because they know they are quick lessons and sometimes we get to get out fun activities that go along with it!
Thank you so kick for helping to make our classroom a better learning experience! I appreciate your kindness and generosity. This math kit will be used for many years to come to help my students learn.β

Funded Dec 20, 2020Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity towards our extra Monitor project. It is so nice to be able to see my students when we are doing Google Meetings from home. I was not able to see them and what I was presenting, but thanks to this grant, I am now able too with the extra monitor hooked up to my Chromebook. It came in very hand during a recent snow storm when we were at home learning unexpectedly for a week. I set it up in my living room and was able to use it successfully with my students.
This extra monitor will be used for many years to come. I have it set up in my home currently in case we are put on Remote learning again or have anymore weather delays. I am so very grateful for your help in getting this extra screen to help me teach remotely to my young kindergarten students.
Thank you so much! :)β

Funded Nov 14, 2020Oh my goodness! My students are having a blast with all these different science activities and experiments. They are making science so much fun in my kindergarten classroom! We do a special activity every few weeks, so they will last us the whole year! We have been doing lots of fun experiments and the kids are having so much fun learning!
One of their favorite activities so far has been digging for dinosaurs in the dinosaur egg kit. Each student had their very own archeological tool to chisel away at their egg to discover their dinosaur. Each egg has a different type and no one knows what theirs will be! It took them several days of work to discover their dinosaur! They had so much fun showing their classmates the kind they had discovered!
We are looking forward to the Butterfly Garden as well this spring. I cannot wait to watch their excitement in watching the life cycle of a butterfly happen before their eyes. This is always a popular activity! The kids feel so special in their safety goggles as well. I told them real scientist use those to stay safe. Growing Crystals is up next. I cannot wait to watch their excitement!
Thank you for making learning so much fun in our classroom! I appreciate your support and generosity! You have made a difference in my classroom! πβ

"Stem"Tastic Learning in Kindergarten!
Funded Feb 2, 2021We just got our new Stem activities last week and the kids absolutely LOVED them!
They created some really cool designs and I loved how creative they were being and using those fine motor muscles skills as well especially with the little snowflake pieces.
They were so excited to have new Lincoln Logs and some even had a few horses and cowboys! They were so excited and worked hard trying to design a stable for their horses! It was so nice to see them so excited while learning!
The Bristle Blocks were something new to them. I had them when I was a kid and always loved creating all kinds of cool things from houses to vehicles. They really enjoyed building with them as well and came up with some neat creations!
Thank you so much for your kindness and support! These STEM activities will be used for years to come and create engaging learning opportunities for all my students in my classroom now and in the future as well!β
