We Like to Read It, Read It!
Funded Jan 28, 2024Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity towards our new Leveled Book project! I was so excited to get some new books that help us focus on the Science of Reading which our state has recently adopted.
My young students love the little readers, especially since they are their own reading level. These books help build up their confidence and give them extra encouragement to keep reading them! I love that they give them the repetition to build on literacy skills and that the books focus on the phonics aspect of reading.

Scholastic "Let's Find Out" in Kindergarten!
Funded Jan 18, 2024Thank you so much for your help in finding our "Let's Find Out" magazine subscription for another school year! These little magazines by Scholastic and amazing and have great topics that my kindergarten kiddos can understand and enjoy learning about!
My students love the real life pictures and the wide range of topics that are covered each month! They are always very excited to take them home and share them with their families as well! I love that the topics are relevant to things we are talking about in school like Earth Day, Fire Safety, or Pumpkins at the appropriate seasons.

Recess Fun!
Funded Feb 20, 2024Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity towards our recess project! The kids love their new goodies to help keep them busy at recess time. Our old balls, hula hoops, etc were becoming damaged and we were getting down to just the bare minimum, so these new items were just in time. They are used several times a day by all of our students Kindergarten through 5th grade, so we are all grateful for your support!
The new basketballs are a little smaller than a normal size, so they have worked out perfect especially for our primary students. They also love the new frisbees and the hula hoops. The new wiffle ball set has been a big hit with the intermediate kiddos!

Summer Learning Fun - Part 2!
Funded Dec 24, 2023I am so very thankful to be able to give my students lots of learning resources to help them stay active and engaged over the summer months. Lots of times families want to help their kids but they don't have the tools or know what they actually need to keep them learning. Thanks to this grant and part 1 my students will have everything they need to keep learning!
The flashcards will help them stay on top of their math facts with a fun practice tool! They will have addition and subtraction for all the kiddos varying levels! The Summer Bridge book has lots of different pages with all sorts of activities. The kiddos can pick a page or two to do each day that interests them, so it doesn't feel so scripted! Then fun drawing boards will let their minds create and design lots of fun pictures.

Get Ready For Kindergarten, Part 1!
Funded Nov 28, 2023Thank you so much for getting the first part of our project up and running! I am so excited to give all of our new kindergarten students some amazing resources to be able to use throughout the months leading up to the start of the school year!
I love these drawstring bags that can store the new items and keep them safe and organized. The workbooks are fun and colorful to give the kiddos some fun things to practice on to help get them ready for their new kindergarten adventure!

Funded Nov 28, 2023Thank you so much for helping to complete our Welcome to Kindergarten Bags! The families were so grateful for the resources to help get their kiddos ready for kindergarten!
The alphabet flashcards and number cards are great tools to get the incoming students familiar with letters and numbers giving them a boost! They can also be used throughout the whole year as an extra resource as needed.
The cute little story was also a great resource to help the kiddos to get excited about starting their school career. Hopefully easing any anxiety for the new students!
I am so grateful to be able to get these items into the hands of our new students. A lot of times families want to get the kiddos ready, but are not sure of what or how to do it! Thank you for your help and support! 😊”

Sprinkling Kindness Around the Community
Funded Nov 28, 2023Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness towards our Service Learning project. I was so happy to get my young students involved in such a meaningful project, helping others. Although, they are little they loved packing up the bags and knowing these packages were going to some elderly people in our own community to bring them some joy.
We were able to pack up over 60 bags and deliver them to a local nursing home. The packages included fuzzy socks with slip resistance, puzzle books, and chapstick. It was a just a little care package to make their holiday season a little more special.

PBIS and Family Fun Night!
Funded Nov 27, 2023Thank you so much for helping make this project idea a reality! I am so excited to give each student a Family Fun Night! The UNO Junior game that has a different skills levels for them and the Skip-Bo Junior game are great to help them practice math as well, which is a win-win situation. They will be having fun and learning. Hopefully these new games will be used for many years!
The Plus-Plus builders are great to help the kids get to use instructions to assemble each of the items, but they can also creat their own designs as well. I added some popcorn and a juice to each kit so that is a true family night with snacks, games, and builders! I know families are going to be so appreciative and happy to have fun things to do with their kiddo that are age appropriate!

Funded Dec 20, 2023Thank you so much for getting us our first round of goodies for our Summer Learning Bags. I am always excited each year to be able to give my young students fun items and activities to help them continue their learning throughout the summer months. My hope is these items are engaging and they will have so much fun using them that they will not even realize they are learning too.
The drawstring bags are perfect for them to use to keep the items organized at home as well and they can pull it out and have all their goodies right there. The Crayola Twistable scented crayons are so much fun and the kids love all things scented!

Stock Us Up for Sucess!

These new items have been a blessing to restock our classroom with items that are used daily! Dry erase boards and Expo markers are used daily for writing and math practice! The kids move to use them.
Sidewalk chalk is a great asset to use on nice days to get outside and again practice writing or maybe just create a cool picture for fun! All of these items might sound simple but are used every day in my classroom to help keep my kids active and engaged! Thank you for making a difference in my classroom! :)”
