  • Spring Bugs Everywhere!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for the amazing science instructional materials, my students were so happy to receive them. Upon receiving them, we proceeded to unpack them and set them up in our classroom science interest center. The children have been engaging with them and they have been learning so much about bug and insect facts. They have been sorting insects, spiders, bugs with and without wings, insects that have six legs from spiders that have eight legs and bugs with and without antennae. My two year old students have been having so much fun engaging with the Colorpillar Sorting Mat, they're learning the name of the colors on the caterpillar and they're also, learning to sort objects by the attribute of color. All of these science instructional materials have been so engaging and stimulating my student's brain. Thank you so much for investing in Early Childhood Education, it is thanks to people like you that the world is a better place.”

  • Supporting Social-Emotional Learning For Overall Wellness

    Funded Nov 10, 2017

Thank you for supporting my students social-emotional learning through your amazing donation. The children were very excited to receive the instructional materials and to take them out of the box, as soon as they got them out they immediately started to play with them. As part of our daily routine we have incorporated social-emotional learning and it is being treated as one of many equally valued subjects to learn in school. We strive to nurture and foster our students well being to maximize their capacity to focus and learn, with these new materials you are making it possible. The children love to play with the Feelings and Emotions Washable Dolls, today one of my student's asked me "Why is she angry?" My student was referring to one of the dolls, I used the opportunity to ask her "How do you know she's angry?" "What makes you feel angry?" It truly was a learning opportunity. Thank you for the Feelings and Emotions book collection, it is the absolute best! Each day I read a new book to the children and I'm happy to share that they attend to the books being read and are excited to participate in expressing, communicating and sharing their overall ideas with regards to feelings and emotions.

Thank you for investing in Early Childhood Education, the resources you have provided are making a huge impact in the life of my students. My wish is that every single one of them grows up to be a well rounded individual with purpose and joy. Thank you for your generosity.”

  • Integrating Technology Into The Overall Curriculum

    Funded Nov 5, 2017

Thank you for the truly amazing technological tools you have put in the hands of my students. There are several mini techies in my classroom that are absolutely thrilled to have the iPad pro available to them in the classroom. They're all very excited with the new instructional tool, it has been truly educationally beneficial in extending and expanding the current Tree Study the children are investigating. The kids have had the opportunity to watch videos of arborists at work, animals using tree parts to make their homes, the impact bad weather has on trees, the damage pine beetles do to trees, living and non living things, animals that live in trees, animals eating fruit from trees and the process of making paper from trees. I cannot express the astonishing impact the use of the iPad pro has had on the learning and knowledge building of my students. It is truly amazing to hear them talk about the information they are learning through the investigations we conduct and visual support the educational videos are providing.

The children have also been exploring creating digital art using various apps I have purchased for them to create art. They're excited to use this new technology in forms they hadn't explored before and it truly brings me great pleasure to see them so engaged, learning and creating.

It is through your generous gift that these new experiences are made possible, thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

  • We're Going To The Zoo, How About You?

    Funded Jun 30, 2017

Thank you for the amazing and wonderful Los Angeles Zoo field trip experience you gave to my students by providing the transportation! The wonder and amazement in their eyes while looking at so many animals was priceless! For most of my students this was their very first visit to the zoo, so you can image how thrilled they were to see wild animals for the very first time. Our visit to the zoo provided many learning opportunities for my students. To foster language development all along our visit to the zoo, I labeled every animal name and told them facts about the animals we were seeing. To raise environmental awareness I pointed out the importance of taking care of our planet and how that impacts the lives of animals. In an effort to support my students learning and use of their senses to understand animals and their importance the kids had the hands on experience of petting goats and sheep. They were so excited to experience the way these animals smelled, the sounds they made and the way they felt! The children also, learned what the animals eat, drink and how they communicate.

Our trip was truly a lovely experience, I can only hope that having exposed my students to these beautiful animals can encourage them to one day be advocates for the protection and preservation of wildlife.

Thank you for investing in early childhood education!”
