Boosting Alphabet Skills
Funded Apr 27, 2017My students are extremely happy with the new instructional materials, they're eager to engage with them daily. Everyone loves the magnetic alphabet maze, they take turns playing with it. My five year old students, who are soon to move up to kindergarten love the Letter-Sound Matching Board, they know the letter names and are currently working on learning the letter sounds, so this particular matching letters and sounds interactive game has been a huge success with them. They love looking for the pictures and matching them to the letters. Now that we have the clear view stamps and colorful ink pads in the writing center, the children are more excited about spending time there engaging with the materials. They use the alphabet stamps to stamp their name and words. The children are very happy and thankful for all of the new materials, they want me to express to you that they are grateful and having so much fun! From the bottom of my heart, a million times, thank you!”

I had to expand my classroom library space because they all want to read books now, it truly has been quite exciting seeing how their interest in literature has heightened now that we have furniture in our library. Thank you for providing them with the comfortable seating, the children are all overjoyed! They wanted me to tell you that the couch and chairs are beautiful and that they promise to take good care of them. You have made us all truly happy! Thank you very much!”

The Importance of Art in Child Development
Funded Apr 6, 2017When we received the art materials, I told the student's I had a story to tell them and a surprise to show them. I told them I had written a letter requesting art materials for our art center and I told them that a very kind and generous person had read my letter and given the materials to us to have preschool fun using them. The kids all shouted yay! and some of the children put their little arms up as they cheered. It was truly an exciting moment. The kids helped me unpack the art materials and put them in the art center. Immediately during free choice time the kids started exploring the materials and engaging with them. Each spring, I have my student's plant flower seeds in milk cartoons, so now that the plants have grown, the children had the opportunity to decorate their collage pots and take their little plant home in their newly decorated pot. The kids were also, very excited to make necklaces with the letter beads, several looked for the letters in their name and made name necklaces. The moon sand is their absolute favorite! Everyday during outdoor play time, there are several kids exploring the sensory table with the moon sand. They have sculpted cakes, snowman's, hearts etc. I put the colorful ink pads in the writing center with the rubber alphabet stamps, the kids have had so much fun making their name and other words. Half of the sorting buttons are gone already, it is a favorite collage material and the kids have had the opportunity to collage with them on several occasions. On behalf of my student's and I, please receive an enormous thank you with heartfelt gratitude. The kids are having so much fun creating art and exploring the materials.”

Funded Mar 23, 2017Thank you for providing the tools my student's need to excel and for helping me transform my classroom's learning environment. I'm a fervent believer that every child deserves the opportunity and resources to succeed and grow to their fullest potential. Unfortunately, many times we don't have the tools we need to teach our student's due to limited funding. I'm thankful for generous people like you because the impact that your donation is making in my student's school life is astonishing. When I received the materials and I opened the boxes, my student's little faces all lit up. It was truly a timeless moment, there was so much joy and happiness. There were loud squeals of joy, I wish we could share a video of that moment with you. The kids have been engaging with the materials every day since we got them. We are currently learning about Buildings, so it has been incredibly amazing watching them build their building structures, bridges and vehicles. Thank you for helping me implement the STEAM movement in my classroom and preparing my student's for tomorrow.”

Preschool Fun!
Funded Apr 15, 2015On the day that I received the educational resources, I immediately gathered my students on the big rug and told them I had a surprise to show them. Everyone was excited and anxious and started asking me what was in the boxes. I explained to them that a group of very generous people had given us several gifts. Everyone started asking "What is it?" "What is inside the boxes?" When I showed them the educational toys, they got very excited and many shouted "Yay!" Soon they all started asking "Can I play with it?" "Can I use it?" It was a very exciting moment!
Every day during learning centers the new resources are available to the students for use. The hammering kit and magna tiles are in the manipulative's center and the brushes are in the art center. The children use the hammering kit daily, they love to pound away at the nails and it makes me excited because I know they are developing eye-hand coordination skills and fine motor skills which are essential for learning to write. The kids use the brushes to create colorful beautiful art prints for mom, dad, grandma and other family members. Seeing their creativity is fun.
These educational resources have helped me so much because I now have toys in learning centers that were somewhat empty and now I have exciting new materials in them thanks to the generosity of your donation. The children have been provided with materials that are challenging them physically and intellectually. The kids use their creativity to create structures with the magna tiles and art work. They also, put effort into hammering the nails which makes their fine motor skills grow. Thank you for your generosity, the kids and I appreciate it a lot!”
