Funded Dec 29, 2024Thank you so much for funding our project. We have been patiently waiting for this project to be funded. The new easel will be used multiple times throughout the day. My students are going to love sharing the pen/markers when we work on whole group shared writing. I cannot wait to share some awesome photos of my students using our new materials. Thank you so very much for making the funding of our project possible.”

Comfy, Cozy and Calming
Funded Aug 14, 2024The Comfy Cozy Corner is used on a daily basis and the students love having someplace to go where they can just take a break and relax. In a world where there is so much chaos and hurry up going on it is nice for, actually it is VERY important for the kids to have a place to go to slow down and regroup and take time to just be.
The students have fallen in love with the weighted stuffies and are really learning how to self-regulate independently. I have loved introducing the new materials and strategies that have been made possible through the funding of this project. Seeing the positive effect that the Calming Corner has had on my students is so gratifying. Thank you for all of your support in making the funding for this project possible.”

Funded Aug 14, 2024I cannot begin to tell you how much my students love the new dramatic play center. It is hard to get them out once they are in the center. The new costumes have really promoted engaging conversations and creative use of their imaginations. I love sitting and observing them engaged in the center; I am blown away by their creativeness and perception of the world that I can see during their play.
The new food and other materials that came have been great additions to the center. The new food has provided many opportunities to demonstrate sorting by various means as well as providing the students opportunities to "provide" their cooking for others. The use of the materials in the New Dramatic Play Center has boosted the peer engagement, social skills and imaginations of all of the students.
Thank you so very much for all of your generosity and support for our classroom. My kids (students) are very appreciative of all that you have done. Thank you for your investment in our future.”

Funded Jun 3, 2020What a year! To say the least it has been a crazy 2 years. The materials have lasted the test of time and students. My students are still using the materials from this project on an almost daily basis. The support and generosity of our donors have made our journey through this time a lot easier.
We are now working in the post-COVID era and we are totally excelling. The materials and resources that were provided during COVID are still being used by my students and they are really blossoming. Thank you for providing the materials and resources that have helped during COVID and now post-COVID. You, our donors, have made an incredible impact on our students. THANK YOU!!!”

Funded May 5, 2020We absolutely love using our Cricuit in the classroom. the students have been able to make name shape and number puzzles with the assistance of an adult. Those puzzles are used daily and have also been used to take home as practice for the students. There are many decorations in our room that are very beautiful and very unique that we've been able to make and design on the Cricuit.
One of the great projects that we have been able to complete has been making T-shirts with our families during our bring your Dad To School Day. I was very excited when this project got funded, knowing that it would help out in the classroom and with learning for my students. I underestimated how useful the materials would be when it came to family involvement. Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to involve our parents in a creative way in our classroom. Thank you again for all of your support and generosity.”

Funded May 21, 2020To say that this has been a trying time in education is an understatement. Going The Distance project has helped us to make the best of the crisis that our country is going through. I absolutely love being able to see my students daily, even if it is through the use of technology for now.
The materials provided in this project, have made it possible for me to give the students an environment that looks and mimics the environment that they are used to being in. We are looking forward to the day when we can be back in school full-time face-to-face. Thank you for helping my students and myself create a virtual experience that promotes both academic learning and social practice. Thank you for your generosity and support.”

Funded Feb 5, 2019The project Planned, Prepped and Prepared has been very beneficial to me, as the teacher. The project has given me materials that have really aided me in being able to be more prepared and given me more accessibility to learning, prepping and preparing outside of the school day.
The impact that has been seen in my students is that I am able to be better prepared without stress that I have forgotten something or need to do something which gives me more intentional time with my students. I am able to do more direct and intentional teaching with my students during the school day.
