Fishing for Experiences
Funded Oct 3, 2019My students are loving our new Snap Circuits! We recently did a unit called "CHAOS" and allowed students in fourth and fifth grade to choose a non-curriculum based activity to participate in. Students chose based on their interests. Students who are interested in electronics, how things work, and building chose to join me and SO enjoyed themselves.
The students were amazed at how they could build and connect working circuits! They told their friends and teachers which felt awesome to have them so excited and invested in the concepts.
Our fish tank is holding our Beta fish named Tony (names by a 3rd header) and currently growing wheat grass!”

Wanted: Technology!
Funded Oct 10, 2017Thank you SO much for helping to fund our project! My kids are going to be so darn excited to get this technology. They haven't had a document camera before - but, I have and I KNOW what an asset they can be.
Also, so excited for the Cricut so we can explore our creativity with new tools. My students are going to be in awe of what this thing can do!”

Mrs. Morin
Organization Is Key
Funded Aug 23, 2016Thank you so much for your donations. We have used these new supplies (the white drawers and black carts since the beginning of the year and students have adapted quickly. Each table has its own set of three drawers, and each class has its own drawer at the tables. This helps us access our writing supplies quickly and stay organized.
The carts are used for our station supplies. I have designated one cart per class and we have our station materials stored here. This way each group can take their drawer right to their station table!
The kids, especially my 3rd graders, were psyched when they were able to organize for me! Thanks SO much!”

Our Technology is Older than They Are!
Funded Feb 12, 2016Thank you, thank you, thank you! The Kindles are wonderful! My students have used them for many research projects this year and it's great to have portable tools to use for this purpose. My students can work in their own space, on the floor, or wherever they are comfortable!
My students like that they are able to be independent and share the technology with their friends. Even our laptops are not as easily moved around, shared, shown to others, etc. Also, our laptop cart is not always available to our classroom, so this allows us to use our own technology.
Some of my students see this as a privilege to use the Kindle so it motivates them to get their written work done before they are allowed to use the Kindles. This motivates even my most reluctant students focus.
We look forward to using these Kindles more and exploring all of the additional uses for these fun tools!”

WANTED: Binders and Paper for Writing Students!
Funded Feb 9, 2016My students and I are really loving our new binders and card stock paper. Each of my 61 students has received their own binder. This helps with their responsibility and organizational skills. They keep handouts, journals, and more in these binders.
These binders are stored easily on our shelves or in bins, depending on the class. This helps organize and neaten our entire classroom.
Next year I am going to invest in page protectors and tabbed dividers to further our organization. I really want to include the students in setting up their binders in a way that works for them.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Morin
Help Bring Our Technology To 2015!
Funded Feb 27, 2015Thank you so much for your generous donations. My students were THRILLED when we received the iPad mini and case. They were so excited to have an additional resource for electronic activities.
We have used the iPad for letter songs and videos, researching animals for our nonfiction books that each student wrote, games for students who earned breaks due to good behavior, and more.
This product made learning more accessible to the students since it is more portable (and much faster) than our laptops.
I hope you enjoyed their thank you letters - and I apologize for taking so long to write my portion. It has been a wild year to say the least!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Morin
