I currently push-into 2 Kindergarten classrooms every morning. My speech and language program focuses primarily on increasing their phonemic, literacy, and vocabulary skills. I use two evidence based programs daily to increase their ability to label and identify words, ask and answer questions, analyze stories, and understand sounds and symbols. While pushing into these rooms, having access to all of my materials for the programs I’m implementing is crucial to their success. The cart that I’m requesting has storage bins for my magnetic tiles that go along with my phonemic awareness program, writing utensils, books, concept pictures, mouth mirrors, and many other ‘tools’ that I use. The cart also has a large magnetized, dry-erase board. My students will be able to manipulate the magnetized tiles on the board while working on their phonemic awareness skills and also write and illustrate pictures for their stories.
