  • While We Learn

    Funded Aug 5, 2016

Thank you for supporting this project and making it come to life! My kindergarten students were beyond thrilled when I told them that our project was funded and that we were getting more flexible seating options.

Flexible seating has been a game changer in our classroom. My students love being able to choose which type of seat they sit in. They come in every morning and get to choose what type of seat they want to have. This project has allowed for my students to choose a seat that fits their needs. The balls and Hokki stools provide my students with chairs that allow for them to move around while they are learning. It also helps them learn to use correct posture when sitting. Being able to move when sitting at their tables, has allowed my students to focus more on the work they are trying to accomplish. My students also enjoy being able to use the balls during our brain breaks. They think it is so neat that they get to use their seats while moving around and stretching.

Thank you for making all of this possible for my students.”

  • Help! Kinders Need a Kidney! A Kidney Table that is!

    Funded Sep 22, 2015

My Kindergarten students love the kidney bean shaped table. They were very excited to see the BIG truck deliver the table. The first day we had the table in the classroom, all the students had to take turns just sitting at the table. They thought it was so cool!

The kidney bean shaped table has worked out perfect for my small group reading and math stations. It has provided my students with a space to meet in small instructional groups that provide everyone with their own space to work while communicating with others. My students know exactly where to go when it's time for them to come to my station. They quickly get there and it provides us with a lot more instructional time. It allows me to better help my students in a small group setting. This table has provided us with the space we needed to be able to work in small groups. Thank you for helping make this possible for my students! ”

  • Criss Cross Applesauce... We Need a Rug

    Funded Jul 8, 2015

My students absolutely love our new rug! They were so excited when they came back from special and saw our new rug. There were lots of "woohoos" and screaming with excitement! This rug has provided my students with a comfortable place to sit when we are using our smart board or reading a story together. My students no longer have to sit on the hard floor.

This rug also allows for each of my students to have his or her own place to sit. My students know where their own place is and it makes coming over to our meeting area in front of our smart board go a lot faster. This allows for us to have more time learning instead of them wasting time while trying to find a spot to sit.

Thank you so much for your generous donation and support with this project! It means so much to both my students and myself!”

  • Nuts about Non-fiction Books

    Funded Oct 21, 2014

Thank you so much for supporting and donating to my nonfiction books project. My students really enjoy reading these nonfiction books. I have used some of the books during guided reading groups. I have also allowed my students to read these books during our independent read to self station. They love that they can actual read these books by themselves while learning about the interesting topics.

These books have allowed my students to improve their reading skills while learning facts about specific topics. They like to create K-W-L charts before reading these books and then using the books to help them fill out the rest of the chart.

I will use these books for many years to come. Thank you for making this project come to life and helping me pass on a love for reading nonfiction books!”

  • Learning to Read with Hands-On Activities

    Funded Oct 28, 2014

First of all, let me say THANK YOU!! My students and I are so lucky to have your support with this project. My students loved all the different hands-on learning activities and games. They had a blast opening all the boxes when they came in.

These hands-on activities, allow for my students to practice and learn independently or with a partner. They love being able to use the computer games on the computer and also when we project them on the SMART board. They love using these games to help them learn and practice reading and writing skills.

Thank you for your support and donation to this project!”

    With gratitude,

  • Techie First Grade Smarties

    Funded Dec 10, 2014

Thank you so much for donating to my project for a laptop and two chrome books. My students were absolutely thrilled when these items came! They LOVE using the laptop and chrome books during our reading and math workshops. They are easy for my first graders to use and they enjoy getting to use them. They are very excited when it is their turn to be on the laptop and chrome books. They are able to access websites and apps that help them extend their learning. They are able to do this independently.

Your support towards my project will help my current and future students learn. It is amazing to see such young learners work independently with technology. Thank you for helping to make this possible!”

  • Raz-Kids for Ready Readers

    Funded Nov 30, 2014

Thank you for your wonderful donations and support towards my project to get my students an online subscription to Raz-Kids. My students absolutely LOVE using it during our reading work stations. Students also have the option to use it at home. I have many kids in class who get on at home as well as at school.

It is a very engaging program that has helped my students become better readers and has also helped some of them build confidence within themselves when they are reading. They get so excited and always want to tell me how many books they read on Raz-Kids during stations.

Thank you for helping make this possible for my students!”

  • iCharge/keep safe our iPads

    Funded Sep 28, 2014

My students love having a special place to store our iPads when they are not using them. My students have really started to take responsibility of making sure the iPads are plugged in and put away when they are done with them. I have had to assign this as one of our classroom jobs because everyone wants to be the one to put them away.

Having this cart has helped our iPads stay charged the whole day. This allows my students to use the iPads throughout the day for individualized instruction. We are no longer running into the problem of seeing the red battery light at the top because the iPads weren't getting charged overnight before. Now they stay in the cart and charge when they are not in use.

Thank you all for helping me help my students and supporting my project!”

  • iLearn with an iPad

    Funded Oct 7, 2014

I want to start by saying THANK YOU to all of you for donating to my project. My students were beyond excited to get an iPad that they can use to help them learn. I greatly appreciate your support with my project. I know this will help not only my current students but my future students as well.

My students love using the iPad during our daily work stations. They really like to use QR codes to listen to stories and to do math activities with. They also really enjoy using the apps to help them enhance their learning. Some of their favorite apps are splash math, moose math, itooch, super readers, and reading island.

Thank you again for your generous donations to my project!”
