  • iPad Charging Cart

    Funded Feb 5, 2025

I am amazed at your dedication toward my children's education and I am incredibly thankful for you. The iPad cart you funded is just the right tool to keep us organized and ready for work.

As a STEAM teacher, I work with various grades doing projects and research. Having the the iPads stored in one location has made it easier for my students to start their work in the nick of time because of how readily available the iPads are. Having this tool in our classroom, not only teaches my students organizational skills, it is also showing them how to be independent and self-reliant. When they come to my room, they automatically gravitate toward the iPad cart, grab their iPad and start their work without me telling them to do so. I love it!

Thank you for giving my students a chance to succeed!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jean-Philippe

  • Printing in STEAM!

    Funded Sep 11, 2024

It is with a heart full of gratitude that I would like to thank you for providing my students with the means to work and succeed. The printer, ink and printer cable cords you have donated to our classroom have given my students a way to complete their work by being able to print their science and STEAM projects.

Most of my students do not have a computer nor printer at home. They rely on our school to type and print their work. Having a printer in our classroom give them the confidence to know that they are able to succeed just like any other students. The ink provided keep their mind at ease, because they know they do not have to worry for the upcoming months when it comes to printing their work. I look at my students and I love the innocence and worry-free look on their faces while they complete their school assignments, all thanks to your generosity.

Once again, "mille mercis" for being a partner in my students educational journey!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jean-Philippe

  • Tools for Success!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

I would like to thank you for your donation toward getting gift cards from Teachers Pay Teachers. Your support has allowed me to get valuable resources for my science class, so my students can better prepare for the future.

Many students believe science class is hard because they do not have the resources that help them understand the concepts. With the gift cards, I was able to purchase science vocabulary cards to help them study and science literature to help them with their investigations and scientific inquiries. The gift cards have allowed me to purchase multiple resources that correlate with the unit we are studying. Our science unit on erosion was made more vivid because I was able to get charts, cards and videos on rock formation so my kids can see, which allowed them to better understand the topic. It is a fantastic feeling when you see the sparkles in children's eyes because of the enjoyments of learning something new. You made this happen for my children, all ninety five of them that come to me for science class daily!

Once again, thank you for supporting my children's dream and for believing in their future!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jean-Philippe

  • Leaving Our Print!

    Funded Nov 13, 2019

I would like to thank you for not only donating to my project, but for also caring for my students. Your generosity has allowed my kids to be able to work on different projects, mostly science and writing, and to print their work to show their final pieces.

As many of you know, many of our kids are not able to have a computer, let alone a printer, at home. Therefore, they rely on the school to provide the means to type and print their work. The toners you provided have enable my kids to not worry about whether or not they would have their given assignments completed. I look at them in class, so devoted to their work, and my heart swells with appreciation and thanks for having you.

Once again, thank you for making a difference in the lives of so many and for giving my students and myself hope for a better tomorrow!”

  • Color Our World!

    Funded Feb 28, 2019

I would like to start by saying how amazing you are for donating to my project and for giving my children the tools to better themselves and reach for the stars. My students were so excited when our package was delivered in our classroom. They could barely contain themselves.

When we ran out of toner and were not able to print our work, you did not hesitate and took it upon yourselves to come to our rescue. Your generosity and kind heart have allowed my kids to, once again, take ownership of their work. They were able to print their work using colored ink and even make cards for Mothers Day. Writing has become a fun activity because my students love printing beautiful colored patterns and pictures to enhance their work.

It gives me great joy and hope to know that amazing people like you exist. People willing to help and willing to give my kids a chance so they can have a better and brighter future. Once again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!”

  • Can You Hear Me Now!

    Funded Jan 26, 2018

First and foremost I would like to start by saying how awesome you are. Education is priceless, and by donating to this project, Can You Hear Me Now, you showed my students you care about them enough to invest in their future.

It is proven that when children get the tools they need to succeed they can do amazing things. It is with this in mind that I can share with you the pleasure my students displayed when using the headphones. The headphones have allowed my students to individualized their learning as well as keeping them focused on the task at hand and block the outside interruptions. The headphones are used during reading time when my students need special self learning moment to practice their reading, listening and comprehension skills. Math facts are challenging for many of my students. As a result, my students find it very convenient to use the headphones and iPads to block out the noise when practicing their math facts.

Once again, thank you for giving my students the opportunity to become the best that they can be by showing them how to take ownership of their own learning. You are one of a kind!”

  • Heart Prints!

    Funded Dec 8, 2017

First and foremost I would like to start by saying how awesome you are. Education is priceless, and by donating to this project, Heart Prints, you showed my students you care about them enough to invest in their future.

It is proven that when children get the tools they need to succeed they can do amazing things. It is with this in mind that I can share with you the pleasure my students displayed when for the first time they were able to print their reading/social studies worksheet, on community, in color. We were able to print our neighborhood map showing the map key using different colors. Seeing the colors for each key made a big difference to my visual learners, capturing their attention better than with a black and white map. Our printer/copier has become an indispensable part of our classroom and my students look forward to finishing and printing their work.

Once again, thank you for giving my students the opportunity to become the best that they can be by showing them how to take ownership of their own learning. You are one of a kind!”

  • My Students Have an "I" for iPad!

    Funded Mar 1, 2017

I would like to thank you for the headphones and the Ipad. Your most wonderful donation has allowed us to keep up with the ever changing technological world out there. My students are beyond happy that they are able to use their new ipad and headsets when working in groups or individually on their projects.

At my school, we use an online reading program (Raz-Kids) that challenges my students' reading abilities. Many of my students do not have access to this program at home because they do not own a computer. They can only practice and challenge themselves in the classroom because of the ipad you have provided. Also, they are able to listen to the stories and look up unfamiliar words at the same time, by using the dictionary while reading. Most of my kids are visual learners. Because of the ipad, they are able to see what they are learning about, such as when we were learning about the life cycle of the frog. The most exciting part is the fact that they could actually see what the masses of frog eggs look like with such bright and vivid colors; an experience they would not have had looking at a picture in a book. They were able to see real frogs in action by watching a video on frogs.

My students are now more inclined to use the ipad for their own learning. When they are practicing their math facts, they grabbed the ipad and played math fact games. The ipad has become an every day tool that helps them better themselves and take responsibility of their own learning and success. The headphones keep them focused on the task at hand and block the outside noise.

Once again, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for being a partner in my students' educational journey and for giving them the tools to be successful and reach for the stars.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jean-Philippe

  • Keeping It Cool In School!

    Funded Aug 29, 2014

I can not explain the joy I felt when I received the email stated that this project has been funded. This ecstatic feeling was only surpassed by actually receiving and unpacking the fans. All I can say is that they came at the "right time".

The students are so pleased to have fans in our classroom. These fans have allowed my students to work in a comfortable and cool room. They enjoy taking turn operating the fans using the provided remote control and feel empowered doing so. They also love standing right in front of the fans to feel the cool breeze right in their faces ( as most of us did when we were about the same age).

These fans have allowed my students to stay alert, focus, and engaged during the hot months when school started, and will keep us cool throughout the end of the school year. During our study of matter for our science class, many students drew the fans to represent a " solid matter" in our classroom.

We are infinitely grateful for your donation. Our room will no longer be referred as "the sauna" because of your generosity. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jean-Philippe

  • Teaching with Tablets- Part 2

    Funded Apr 16, 2014

I would like to start by saying how amazing you are for donating to my project and for giving my children the tools to better themselves and reach for the stars. Seeing my students jumping up and down, and shouting for joy when I took the iPad, the headphones and the headphone splitters out of the box is a memory that I will cherish forever. I was greatly surprised when we saw the iPad stylus, the car charger and the in-ear headphones as an added bonus. Many of my children held on to the iPads and wouldn't let go as this was their first time touching one. Because of the iPads the children became more eager to participate in interactive reading in the morning or math games in the afternoon.

The iPads are used everyday during our small group work. Each group gets to use them depending on the day they are assigned. The headphones allowed the children to concentrate and keep their focus. Because of the headphone splitters, the children are able to work in pairs, thus allowing peer learning to take place. During our reading block in the morning, the children practiced their reading skills by either going on Raz-Kids, Abc order.com or star fall.com. They also learned their sight words by playing sight words puzzle or word games. Brain Pop Jr. and PBS Kids are two of our favorite websites that the children enjoy when learning their math facts and science curriculum.

Having the iPads in the classroom have allowed my students to take a more active role in their own learning. These tools gave me access to another world, a world beyond the text books, where I was able to show my students real life pictures and videos when we studied the life cycle of the butterfly. I was able to show them the 3-D shapes we were studying in math in vivid colors. They were able to understand the difference between a pyramid and a cone. We use the iPad stylus for handwriting practice and bettering our fine motors skills. Having the information at my fingertips and letting my students explore and discover their own world are the results of this project.

Saying thank you doesn't really express my gratitude, joy and all that I feel about what you have done for the children and myself. Always remember that your gift has made a difference in our lives and our community.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jean-Philippe
