It may come as no surprise that my classroom like most classrooms has a diverse set of learning needs. My students now more than ever need opportunity to learn using many different mediums. Art allows the students to build learning and make connections in the classroom on a deeper level. Art can also be a therapeutic activity and is a great avenue of social emotional learning. COVID 19 has effected many people and my students are no exception. These supplies will allow them not only to have access to valuable resources but it will give them an opportunity to access social emotional learning and grow from the hard circumstances in the world around them today.
With these supplies my students will be able to engage in art that allows them to explore themselves and the world around them. The supplies added in this project are painting supplies such as paint, paint brushes, pallets. I have also added paper because that is a necessity for art projects. I also added organizational supplies to help organized all the art supplies. This will keep our classroom a clean safe place for my students to be in. They will also be able to do art projects that have application to what we are currently studying in history and social studies in a safe clean environment. Finally, I did add math manipulative cubes because this will help do apply math through art.
