• Flexible Seating to Improve Reading Habits

  Thanks to your kindness, my students now have the opportunity to read comfortably in our new bean bag chairs. These flexible seating options have not only transformed our reading corner but have also encouraged my students to develop healthy reading habits. They absolutely love sinking into the soft, cozy chairs, which have made reading time a much-anticipated part of their day. Even fellow teachers often stop by to admire our inviting reading nook!

• A Garden Full of STEM-Time Fun

• Let's Turn Transition Time into Learning Time

  I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation to our classroom. Your support has made a remarkable difference in our learning environment.

  The lunch cart has significantly improved our transition times. Students can now efficiently place their belongings on the cart, eliminating the time wasted searching through the closet. This has allowed us to dedicate more time to academics, which is invaluable.

  Additionally, the fairy lights have become a wonderful motivational tool during lessons. Whenever I notice students losing focus, I simply turn them on, and it helps re-engage them and bring their attention back to the lesson at hand.

  The surge protector has also been a game-changer, providing extra outlets for our class timer, iPads, laptop, and fairy lights. This has streamlined our setup and ensured that we have everything we need at our fingertips.

• Open Our Eyes to the Digital World

  I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous donation towards my school. As we strive to create an engaging and effective learning environment, your contribution has played a critical role in equipping our classrooms with essential items necessary for quality education. The positive outcome of your support can already be observed, as student involvement and enthusiasm have notably increased.

  The three StanByMe monitors have greatly improved the learning experience in our classrooms. Two teachers are now able to parallel teach using digital lessons which makes learning more engaging for students. The StandByMe monitors have shown great effectiveness in small group instruction. They help teachers display vocabulary, motivational videos, and instructional materials clearly for students. The use of a digital pen allows teachers to write directly on the screen making lessons more interactive and engaging. This feature enhances the learning experience as students can see real-time notes and illustrations. Overall the monitors support better communication and understanding during group activities.

  The document camera has become a valuable tool for displaying student work in the classroom. After finishing their independent assignments students are excited to present their ideas to their peers. This sharing process not only boosts their confidence, but also encourages them to take pride in their efforts. As a result, the document camera has inspired my students to put in more effort and strive for excellence in their work. This device fosters a positive learning environment where students feel motivated to engage and share.

  The Chromebook has provided my students with practice using digital technology. It helps them learn how to use the keyboard which is an important skill for their future studies. Students who show good behavior and strong work habits earn the chance to use this device as a reward. This not only motivates them to improve, but also makes learning more engaging. Overall, the Chromebook supports both their academic growth and personal development.

  The chart stand has significantly improved the organization and accessibility of my charts for the new reading program. It has allowed me to efficiently store and retrieve over 40 essential reading charts, eliminating the hassle of sorting through loose ones daily.

From the first sprouts breaking through the soil to the stems reaching for the sun, their enthusiasm was truly contagious. Each day truly felt like a celebration of growth and learning!

  Because of your generosity, my students had the chance to watch their plants flourish into vibrant vegetable plants, cultivating a sense of responsibility and connection to nature. • Getting Back to Basics

  As the school year kicks off, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your very generous donation. Your support makes an incredible difference, especially at this time when many families face the challenge of financing school supplies.

  Your contributions are not just items on a list. They are vital tools that enhance the learning experience for my second graders. The paper towels you provided will help us manage the little messes that often come with exuberant, hands-on learning.

  The scissors and pencils you generously donated are sure to be cherished in our classroom, although they often play a game of hide-and-seek on their own. It's amazing how quickly these essential supplies can "grow legs" and wander off, with each new project igniting creativity and discovery!

  Your glue sticks and dry erase markers are tried-and-true staples in our daily routine, supporting collaborative learning and fostering creativity in a myriad of activities. As the year progresses, we find ourselves replenishing these items, and thanks to your kindness, we can focus more on our education and less on financing supplies.

• Show Me the Money

  Funded Feb 14, 2024

  I wanted to take the time to thank you for your generous donation. We just recently finished our Restaurant Unit and it was a huge success! With the requested materials, students were able to learn about the value of money and create their own "cash registers". To culminate the unit, parents were invited to our restaurant and order from a menu that the students created together. Students practiced their math skills on ordering food, adding totals, and making change with the materials you donated. The children and families had an absolute blast, a special event they will always remember.

  Additionally, the telling time poster was a great resource for students when learning about this difficult concept. Students still refer to it when signing in and out of the bathroom. The dry erase tabletop easel has been helpful when working with a small group of students. Children were able to manipulate the magnetic money to show their understanding of counting coins.

  While some materials cannot be utilized year after year, I am excited that all of the items donated will be able to be recycled for future classes! Thank you, again, for supporting my students so that they can be successful lifelong mathematicians!”

• Help Us See Our True Colors!

  I wanted to take this time to express how truly grateful I am for supporting my project for a color printer. Being able to print real-world images in color has made a huge impact on my students' learning.

  Since the color printer's delivery, I have been able to print many colorful sets of guided reading books for my small group instruction. In particular, the children have loved learning about animals. Because I have students who are English Language Learners, previewing vocabulary is essential towards their understanding. The color printer has provided me with the opportunity to print photographs related to the vocabulary words for each of my lessons. This has really impacted my ELLs and struggling readers who heavily rely on pictures to understand the text.

  Recently, students learned about the colorful holiday, Holi, a very popular holiday in my school's neighborhood. Parents sent me photos of their families covered in colorful powder, which I was able to print and display for parents to see on our school's "Family Discovery Day" last month. My students and their families were so excited to see photos of their family celebrating this special holiday.

  Furthermore, having on-demand access to a color printer has freed up so much of my time. I no longer need to wait "in line" for access to a printer at the computer lab, struggle with wi-fi going in and out at the lab, or wait for the designated day when the lab is open for color printing.
