Fishing for Literacy Classroom Carpet
Funded Apr 1, 2023I really appreciate your gracious donations for helping us purchase our brand new classroom carpet! It is so bright and colorful and filled with our classroom theme of fish. It also has letters and numbers for us to learn from. Our entire class can sit on the eight foot by 12 foot rug very comfortably. We love working on the new carpet in both whole groups and in small groups. Our new rug allows us to sit in a soft, clean area that is close to our Active Board. This allows us to see the board up close and allows the students to interact with the teacher on assignments on the Active Board. We would not have been able to purchase this brand new carpet with out your help. Thank you very much!”

Headphones Helping Kids!
Funded May 3, 2022Thank you very much for your gracious donation. Without your help, this project would not have been funded. My students are really going to enjoy using their new headphones. Technology is utilized daily in our classrooms. Students may work privately with these headphones. Students with headphones are able to focus more on their own individualized assignments. Many students have differentiated lessons and assignments and these headphones allow the students to work independently at their own pace with very little distraction. Thank you very much!”

Funded Jan 6, 2022Thank you so much for your gracious donations to our classroom project. With so many allergies in our classroom and in our county; keeping the classroom clean from germs is a must. Once they arrived, I immediately opened the humidifiers and the diffusors. Utilizing the essential oils to help keep the air fresh and full of scents that help the respiratory system breathe better helps keep the children healthier. It is projects such as this that help students stay healthy so they can learn more and be more successful in the classroom.”

Funded Nov 30, 2021Thank you so much for your gracious donations to our classroom project, "Healthy Air and Positive Feedback in the Classroom." My students will certainly enjoy their special prizes and treats for all of their hard work. Keeping children motivated with positive interests allows teachers to keep pushing students forward with more challenging assignments. These rewards will help my students with their rewards.
The essential oils are a huge help in our classroom. Knoxville is well known for its many allergens in the air. Many of my students have sniffles and colds. The new diffusers and essential oils will help spread fresh, scented air around the classroom that will help clear stuffy noses. Thank you for all of your help!!!”

Funded Oct 22, 2021Thank you so much for your gracious donations to allow my students to receive our project called, "Books Help Us Go On Adventures"! Many of my students come from different demographic backgrounds. Some of them come from homes that do not own any books at home. These added books to my reading collection, allows my students a chance to have access to a wide variety of genres and levels of reading books. These books that I ordered will meet the individual needs of all of my students' reading levels. Books can help children go on adventures through reading. Helping a child learn to love to read can be made with allowing them access to high interest books and books at their level. Thank you so much for allowing my students access to these books!”

Funded Sep 23, 2021Thank you so much for your gracious donations to our project called, "Helping Students With Their Needs". My students were given chrome books this year to supplement their lessons that are taught to them during the day. My students' parents must provide their children with their own set of headphones. Many of my students' families do not have the funds to afford their own headphones. These sets of headphones will provide all of my students with the headphones they need to use their chrome books successfully. Eastern Tennessee is known for its constant allergies. The oil diffusers and the use of essential oils during the day allow my students to have a cleaner atmosphere in the classroom. Thank you for all of your help and support.”

Funded Jul 5, 2021Thank you so much for your gracious donations to our Classroom Room Transformation! Vroom Vroom is all about learning, having fun and making that learning skill stick for a lifetime. My students learn about Force and Motion, Gravity, Friction and Measurement. With these Hot Wheels Cars and Ramps and blocks, my students can build bridges, hills, and ramps through STEM Activities. When I transform our classroom to look like a true race track atmosphere their little eyes light up when they enter the classroom. I love seeing their faces and hearing their laughter as they are learning. These additional tools will help make the lesson more meaningful and definitely will stick with them for the rest of their lives. Thank you from me and all of of my little 2nd graders!”

Students Hatching Chickens and Quail Eggs in the Classroom!
Funded May 18, 2021Thank you so much for your gracious donations to our Hatching Chickens and Quail Eggs in the classroom project. Many of my students come from urban and suburban areas and have never experienced real life farm animals. Reading books about quails and chickens does teach them about the life cycle of these creatures; however when they can see them in live birth action it makes it more memorable and meaningful! With these new camera systems we can now watch our baby hatchinglings being born in real time even after we go to our homes. Thank you so much for helping us bring this life lesson more meaningful and memorable. Your contribution will allow these lessons to be everlasting for my 2nd graders! Thank you so much!”

Welcome Back to School!
Funded May 4, 2021Thank you so much for your gracious donations! Welcoming my students back to school with new supplies makes them feel welcome and more comfortable. Especially for those little kiddos that can not supply their own from home. People in the community such as yourselves make a difference in the lives of teachers and students. Without your help, many of the materials needed in the classroom to supplement lessons and provide students with their basic school supply needs would not be met or come out of the teacher's wallet. Thank you so much for helping me and my students off to a great school year!”
