As a teacher, I have one of the most rewarding jobs any person could have. Every day I have the privilege to work with students who are motivated,goal- driven, and determined to reach for success. Most of their parents wok multiple jobs in order to provide the most basic needs. The students enter the school year extremely low and there are usually language deficiencies. When compared to students in more affluent areas the students I teach know about 30 million fewer words. This is a struggle for students thus they have to work twice and even three times as hard to be on grade level. Even with all of the challenges and struggles my students face they still continue to work effortlessly and tirelessly because they know that one day they too can be the first in their families to go to college!
