Through the use of hands-on manipulatives, students will be able to think outside the box in order to complete given tasks. In order to complete a task, students will use their imagination and learn to work together cooperatively in small groups. Hands-on manipulatives will provide students the opportunity to use extraordinary objects to complete real world task. Some of these task include building shelters to protect animals from their predators, making sight words using linking cubes and blocks, and designing houses, bridges and play areas using shape tracers. Students will enjoy using these hands-on manipulatives so much, they will forget they are learning!
