  • Mystery, Fun, and Learning: Engaging Speech Therapy Games for Success

    The impact of these new resources has been incredible for my students! Since receiving the mystery box and Sneaky Snacky Squirrel, my students have been fully engaged and excited to participate in every session. For example, during a recent speech therapy lesson, we used the mystery box to practice describing items and asking questions. The excitement in their eyes when they got to reach into the box and discover something new was priceless. It sparked great conversations and allowed me to target vocabulary, sequencing, and articulation goals all in one activity.

    When my students first saw the materials, they couldn't contain their excitement! The Sneaky Snacky Squirrel game was a hit, and students worked together to pick up acorns, focusing on fine motor skills and language processing, all while having fun. They loved the competitive element, which encouraged them to stay engaged and communicate more during the game.

    The next step for my students is to continue using these resources to target specific language and communication goals, such as following directions, improving social communication, and developing language comprehension. We're planning to incorporate these games into our ongoing lessons, where they will reinforce skills like turn-taking, asking questions, and problem-solving. With these tools, I know my students will continue to grow and thrive in a supportive, interactive environment. Thank you for making this all possible!”

Their eyes widened with excitement as they explored the materials, eagerly jumping into pretend scenarios like running an ice cream shop! These tools have ignited their imaginations and provided countless opportunities to build communication, turn-taking, and problem-solving skills.

    One of the most heartwarming moments was watching a student with limited verbal skills use their AAC device to "take orders" during a pretend restaurant activity. It was a breakthrough in their ability to initiate and participate in conversations.
