  • Learning Incentive!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

I am writing to express my heartfelt thanks for your support in providing gift cards for my project on learning incentives. Your generosity has made a significant impact on the lives of my students, and I cannot thank you enough for your kindness.

With the gift cards you provided, I was able to implement an effective rewards system that motivated my students to participate actively in class, complete their assignments on time, and excel in their academic pursuits. Your donations allowed me to provide tangible incentives to my students, which not only boosted their academic performance but also improved their overall attitude toward learning.

The impact of your donation was immediate and tangible. My students were eager to participate in class discussions and complete their assignments on time. They were excited to earn the gift cards and showed great pride in displaying them to their peers. They were also able to use the gift cards to purchase school supplies or items of personal interest, which further motivated them to excel academically.

I am grateful for your generosity, and I know that my students are as well. Your donation has not only made a significant impact on their academic performance but has also instilled a sense of pride and motivation in them. Your support has helped create a positive learning environment in my classroom, and I cannot thank you enough for your kindness.

Once again, thank you for your support and generosity. Your donation has made a significant impact on my students' lives and will be remembered by them for years to come.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hunt

  • Back to Basics

    Funded Aug 28, 2022

Students were excited to know that these materials were provided and that they didn't have to go out and purchase them. Because of your donation, students could complete more engaging assessments for reading. For example, seventh-grade students completed a gameboard for the novel The Westing Game. The large poster paper allowed them more room to be creative. Eighth-grade students used the same large sheets of paper to complete a two-page spread about their book club books. The best part is that we have many sheets to last for the remainder of the year. Therefore, students can continue to complete various fun assignments or assessments using these large sheets of paper. Thank you!”

  • Publishing Party

    Funded Jan 27, 2022

Thank you for your generous donations! The blacklights and glow items (tape, streamers, and backdrop) have brought our Publishing Parties to a new level. The kids are now excited to write an essay and really apply what they are learning to celebrate their accomplishments at our end-of-unit Blacklight Party. Thanks to you and your generous donations, you have contributed to this new enthusiasm I see in my classroom. They can't stop raving about it. So much so that other grades can't wait to celebrate writing in Mrs. Hunt's class. That is the best feeling!”

  • Work Hard, Play Hard!

    Funded Jan 27, 2022

Thank you for your generous donation. We greatly appreciate having a thermal laminator and laminating pouches to laminate all necessary items for our classroom. In addition, the students love earning rewards for their hard work. Therefore, the fun pencils and adorable erasers were a great addition to our reward stash. Because of your generosity, students enjoy coming to school a little more because they feel appreciated for their effort and hard work.

I am so grateful for all of their hard work and effort. I wish you could hear all the "oohs and aahs" they made when my students saw the incredible rewards they have earned for their hard work! Because of you, my students have the opportunity to earn these rewards for all of their hard work and effort throughout the year.

My very deepest thanks! I am so grateful!”

  • Interactive Notebooks

    Funded Jun 22, 2021

Thank you for donating to our classroom. The students use these notebooks to learn organizational skills by keeping a table of contents (including the date, title, and page number of their assignment), taking notes, and adding reading strategies. Students were excited to see all of the options available to them when we opened the box. Then, they couldn't wait to personalize their notebook and start creating. We appreciate all of you for donating to our classroom, which allows us to have another fantastic year!”

  • Gaga for Graphic Novels

    Funded Mar 16, 2021

Thank you for your donation to my classroom. Graphic Novels allow my reluctant readers to find novels that are engaging to them. Since this donation, several students have shown growth in their reading comprehension scores. I have students that wouldn't read a choice book at all last year, and since adding a variety of graphic novels through your generous donation, those same students have read more books this year than they have all of their school years put together. That is such an amazing impact! Thank You!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hunt

  • Keep Calm and Carry On!

    Funded Feb 18, 2021

Thanks to your generous donation, my students can maintain some normalcy throughout their school day through reading. Bringing books such as "Scythe" and various graphic novels like "Noise" into our classroom is about keeping students engaged during these challenging times. Giving students a variety of books to choose from will allow their imaginations to soar. "We lose ourselves in books; we find ourselves there too." (Anonymous)

Although I cannot take away the uncertainty and instability that has come with COVID-19, the one thing I can make my students feel certain about is how much I care about their well-being and that I will do everything I can to make them feel safe and loved while they are at school. Thank you for allowing me that opportunity.”

  • Work Hard, Play Hard!

    Funded Feb 11, 2021

Thank you for the reward of candy and small toys, and now because of your generosity and caring, we have these wonderful rewards for our end-of-year celebration for all of their hard work and effort. I wish you could hear all the "oohs and aahs" they will make when my students see the incredible rewards they have earned for all of their hard work! We can now have a beautiful end-of-the-year celebration where students play games and will be given their rewards for all of their hard work and effort throughout the year.

My very deepest thanks! I am so grateful!”

  • Reading a Good Mystery Novel!

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

My students have been asking for new high-interest mystery novels, such as One Among Us, They Wish They Were Us, and many more. This donation will give my students additional options to fuel their love of reading!

They've got incredible momentum going in terms of reading independently right now, and with this donation, I can keep their interests satisfied with new books! My students now have new high-interest books to read for their choice novel. These new mystery novels will promote great conversations and allow students to dig deeper into the literature they are passionate about.

I have found that staying current on new high-interest books is the trick for reluctant readers to move into harder literature. Some of my students have said they've read more this year than all their other years put together, and I know it's because I'm building a classroom library with modern books. Thanks to all of you! The looks on their faces and the rush to read brand new books make teaching so satisfying!”

  • Movin and Groovin in ELA

    Funded Dec 22, 2020

The students here at Cambria Friesland Middle School were ecstatic when they walked into my classroom and saw the bike desk. They couldn't wait to try it out.

Students go from class to class all day long and are expected to sit for long periods of time while staying focused. Students who struggle to sit through an hour-long English Language Arts class can now pedal away while learning. This bike desk provides the opportunity for students to move while staying in their seats during instruction. The transformation in their learning has been astounding.

Students are excited about incorporating physical activity into their daily learning environment! This is just another way to meet my students' needs, thanks to donors like you, ELA class will never be the same.”

My classroom library is in need of some new books. I want to ensure that the students in my classroom have access to great reading material to enrich their brains. I would like to make sure that the students that I teach have access to books on their reading levels, therefore they will be more willing to read. Providing children with grade appropriate books will result in young learners becoming strong, independent, and confident readers. As an educator, I have experienced that reading is vital for all students throughout their learning process. Therefore, knowing how to read is imperative. Reading is important because it leads to successful people in everyday life. Also, remember Dr. Seuss stated it best, " The more you read the more things you know. The more that you learn the more places you'll go."
