Student Computer Storage
Funded Dec 14, 2021Thank you so much for our Lakeshore Seat Pockets. Our students were excited as I handed them out. They had no idea what they were. I had them write their own names on their nametags. Then we slid them into the pocket. After that, I had them stand up and explained how to put them on their chairs. They were so excited to discover the storage pocket for their Chromebooks and take-home folders. They were clapping and cheering. In the end, we reorganized our desks and everything was able to easily fit and be accessible. Your donation helped us take better advantage of our instructional minutes since we won't be shuffling through overstuffed desks. It also helped keep our Chromebooks safe and secure. Thank you so much for your support of our classroom!”

Prize Box Rewards
Funded Sep 22, 2021My first graders were ecstatic to receive the many boxes of prize box rewards! Each week, when I add new items to the choices, they go crazy cheering!
Students are now more motivated to earn class pennies to buy prizes. They earn pennies by following directions, being kind, participating in class, etc.
To practice standards while doing prize box, students get out their laminated ten frame sheet. They fill the 2 ten frames with pennies. If they have 20, they get to choose a prize. They put so much thought into their choices.
Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness!"”

Distance Learning Without Delay
Funded Aug 11, 2020I am extremely grateful for your generosity in these strange times! With a new computer that is made for video conferencing, I am better able to meet my students' needs remotely. Everything we do is online. We Zoom daily. Assignments are turned into Google Classroom. Parents email often. This computer can handle all of these things. I am better able to provide synchronous instruction, access student work, and respond to parent emails. Students and parents have seen a difference in the video capability, as well as my response time. This computer has made remote teaching successful. Thank you for being amazing:)”

Funded May 6, 2020I initially wrote this project simply because students deserve to learn in a clean classroom. This vacuum is even more important in the world we live in today. Unfortunately, we aren't in school so students weren't able to see it yet, but it will be vital in helping provide a clean learning environment when we can return.
I'm sure they will delight in seeing a "robot" glide around to clean up confetti, glitter, dirt, and dust. I envision it creating wonder in some, who may even go on to show an interest in electronics or another related field.
Thank you so much for your generosity and your support for education!”

Funded Feb 26, 2020Social-emotional learning is vital. We start each day with a community circle where we share good things. This gorgeous carpet has created the perfect space to gather in our circle as first graders need something concrete to make our actual shape with room for everyone.
Each day, we also share quality literature while sitting on the carpet. Students have their own personal space with the colorful circles. They know exactly where they should be. They are able to focus and interact with the story.
The carpet is also used for math activities, buddy reading, small group activities, and more. This vibrant new feature has added beauty and function to our learning environment. Thank you from myself - and from 26 joyful first graders:)”

Whiteboard Extravaganza!
Funded Dec 3, 2019The students exploded when they saw our boxes! They knew we were about to get something exciting! When I told them to take their old, worn out whiteboards out of the their desks, their eyes were wide. They couldn't believe the new ones even had lines on one side!
They were excited to practice printing practice and grammar with the lined side! Math problems were easier to see without all of the imperfections of the old boards.
The clipboards were totally new and they love every time we pull them out. They can work on the whiteboard or with a worksheet as we move about the classroom and school.
We are currently working to get our next project funded! We want a classroom carpet to be able to sit in organized rows.”
