  • Trade Clutter for Curtains!

    Funded Oct 4, 2019

Thank you so much for your support to my classroom! The pictures I have uploaded show some of what "before curtains" looks like. Then some pictures with curtains! I am still working on getting the curtains "just right", fitting in the spots that I need them in but they are up and hiding clutter! Students at this age are very distractable so I appreciate anything and everything that helps be hide things they should not be getting into. My classroom window looks out to the playground where all recesses happen and curtains are a must for that window! Again, thank you for supporting my classroom, my students and my school!”

  • Mathematical Mathematicians!

    Funded May 8, 2018

Thank you so much for your donation to help build my students' math brains! They are constantly needing to be challenged and these games provide me with many ways that I can challenge them.

They were so excited when I first showed them all the games and they couldn't wait to get their hands on them! They love new games and love being able to play with partners with these games! The students use these games during math rotations when they finish up their other work. They are fun and engaging! We all thank you again for your generosity.”

  • Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader

    Funded Jan 2, 2018

I wanted to thank you again for your generosity towards my classroom and my students. They absolutely LOVE the centers that I picked out for them and you helped fund. During reading centers the students are actively engaged in the activities and learning at the same time. They choose some of the new centers to use during reading rotations because they enjoy them so much!

When I first showed them how to play the new games they couldn't wait to get their hands on them! The centers are a great way for students to learn independently or with a partner. When I teach them new games they are always so excited!

I cannot tell you how much it means to me that there are people out there willing to support my students and I!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Darkow

  • Fine Motor Skills Are a Must!

    Funded Aug 24, 2017

I want to thank you all again for contributing to my student's learning and development. The fine motor materials is helping more students that I anticipated! I have other students from other grades visit my classroom where they are working with the materials as well. Their fine motor skills have improved greatly since September. My students enjoy picking one of the explore bins that contains the fine motor materials as a free choice. I am so proud to have had so many contributors that care about my students as much as I do. So thank you again, my students and I are forever grateful.”

  • Wiggle and Wobble While We Learn!

    Funded Dec 8, 2016

We want to thank you so much for your contribution to our fund. We appreciate the materials we received and are using them everyday! The students were very excited about them when they first saw all the new tools!

My students are using the stools everyday for their seats at their desks. Certain students are using the Wobble Stools and we are introducing one yoga ball a week. We are learning the expectations for the yoga balls slowly. The students are getting the idea of the yoga balls and the Wobble stools being a tool not a toy. Once we see that the yoga balls are being used the correct way and the way we had planned for them we will get more than one a week.

My future plans for the alternative seats, once they are all introduced, is to rotate the different seats. Students will be able to choose what type of seat they want to have for the week. Giving the students the choice is very empowering for them. The student then has to make sure they are following the expectations of the seat they chose for that week. Thanks again, we appreciate all that you did to help our fund!”

  • Classroom Organization to Maximize Learning!

    Funded May 30, 2016

    Dear Donors,

Your donations helped organize my classroom library. All the books are organized and easily accessible to my students. There are books for everyone!

The drawers have allowed me to help get my students organized starting the first day of school! Each student gets a drawer to keep their school supplies in. For example, the students keep their reading, writing, and math journals in there. If students have any unfinished work, they can keep that in their drawer to complete at a later time.

Thanks again for all your support and helping make this possible in my classroom for my students!

    Miss Darkow”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Darkow
