  • Graphic Novels and Games for a Reading Classroom!

    Thank you so much for donating to our classroom! My ESOL students absolutely loved the graphic novels! They were discussing who got to read which one first! They flew through all of them and are already asking for more!

    It has been a pleasure to watch them find a joy in reading! It is hard to get kids to read and you made it that much easier for them to find that joy!

    Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom! Before the break I was able to give students some cute Christmas supplies because of your donation! They loved all of the supplies. They loved showing off their holiday spirit with their school supplies! We also were able to play some academic games and they could will prizes from the items we received. Thank you for making this possible especially during the holidays when some kids don't recieve much. I truly appreciate your donation and I know the kids did even more!”

    Thank you so much for donating to our classroom! Before break we played the new learning games and the kids had so much fun! They were able to try each game at some point thorugh out the week! I have also used the snacks and prizes as incentives to work hard on their weekly work and state mandated tests. It is always nice to be able to motivate them with little prizes.   • Back to School Basics!

    Thank you so much for donating to our classroom. Thanks to you the beginning of our year ran smoothly. I was able to get supplies to students who did not have them and they were able to get to work right away! With the hurricane it was even more helpful as many students lost not only their supplies, but their homes as well. It was nice to be able to immediately replace those supplies so they didn't go without. I know all students felt supported at school because of these efforts! This was all made possible because of you! For that I am grateful!”

  • Kicking of the Year With Snacks, Supplies, and Encouragement!

    Thank you so much for helping us kick off the school extra special! It was wonderful to have these donations to help encourage my students right from the start! I have also given supplies to students who were not able to get theirs. This was also extra helpful for students impacted by Hurricane Debby!

    Thank you so much for donating to our classroom. We did not get this funded at the end of the school year like we had hoped, but we did get it funded to start off our new school year!

My students love being rewarded for hard work and for many of them, this is what keeps them motivated! My students are struggling readers and need incentives to push them to their learning goals.

In my classes I have mostly low-income students who want to read and NEED to read to improve their reading skills and comprehension. Many of my students do not have a ride to the local library to check out books. Some have to walk or ride their bikes in order to get their hands on books. We have a school library in the school, but many of the books we have are out dated and don't seem interesting to my students. In order for students to improve their reading scores for state testing and college entry they need to read. I want to build a classroom library with new and popular young adult literature. This way students will be able to emerge themselves in to a different world and explore different types of young adult literature while at the same time improving their reading scores by just simply reading.
