I will be starting my second full year teaching high school math (Algebra 1, Honors Geometry) this year. I previously taught 4th grade but am excited to make a change to teaching high school. My school is a diverse mix of students who come from diverse backgrounds. My Algebra classes are year long, so students take a full year to complete what is normally a semester course. Many of my students in those classes struggle with math so I work to make math engaging and fun in my classroom. I am excited to return to school this fall and get started. It's an adventure working with 9th-12th graders who are not always interested in math. I work every day on the challenge of making students see that math can be interesting.
