The students in my classroom come from diverse backgrounds in neighborhoods across Chicago. While my kindergarteners come to school with varying needs when it comes to literacy instruction, one constant is that all students love becoming readers. After hearing stories read aloud, students beg to "read" these beloved stories to themselves, reading the stories they have memorized over and over until the books begin to fall apart from wear. Please help my students on their journey to become readers!
