  • A Hunger for Reading 2

    Funded Jan 4, 2012

Thank you so very much for your generosity and dedication to education. It is those like you who continue to help teachers make an impact through meaningful and thoughtful instruction.

My students have absolutely loved working with The Hunger Games. The storyline has helped me teach the themes of Utopia/Dystopia, survival, and hope. I have seen my students think outside the box. I believe this is because they connect so well and find the story interesting and relevant.

Thank you again for making this a possibility for my classroom. As a teacher, it is a shining moment when your students enjoy what you are teaching them. When they look forward to reading and diving deeper into what they are studying - that is true success in the classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jones

  • Inspiring students to SPEAK

    Funded Jul 27, 2011

I want to send my sincerest thanks to you for your generous contribution to my Donors Choose project! My students are thrilled to have these resources, and they are so excited to jump into reading Speak! By helping my students secure a class set of this novel, you have made it possible for them to read and experience a novel that they can relate to, themes and situations they will experience in their own lives, and life lessons they are sure to carry with them for a lifetime. There is so much to explore and discover in this novel; I can't wait to introduce them to all that it has to offer!

Thank you, again, so much for believing in education and reading and for making this opportunity possible for my students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jones
