Headphones for Our Computer Lab!
Funded Dec 20, 2023Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! The acquisition of headphones for my computer lab have been an enormous help for my students and their learning. One of the most exciting things about having headphones is the new ways in which my students can access the curriculum.
So many sites have translation features with audio components. Depending upon a child's age and/or ability, they may not be a fluent reader. Headphones have eliminated this barrier and provide them with an opportunity to interact with language. This is especially beneficial for students learning to read and students learning English.
The headphones have been a fantastic tool that allows my instruction to be more equitable. I appreciate your donation. Your contribution has helped my students so much!”

Funded Dec 4, 2023Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our computer lab! Our new printer has enabled my students to bring their ideas to life by transforming digital designs into tangible objects. My students are learning the fundamentals of 3D printing, utilizing software, understanding measurements and dimensions, and how to operate this new technology.
My students have been extremely excited to use the 3D printer. It's provided them an opportunity to explore their creativity, apply their knowledge, and develop valuable technology skills. I think the most exciting aspect of having this new technology in my classroom is that it allows students to move beyond theoretical concepts and engage in hands-on learning. Now, my kids can create physical objects from their ideas and designs. It gives them a sense of accomplishment!
This donation has had a tremendous impact on my special education students. When working in groups to design an object to print, it's helped their social interaction and communication skills with their regular education peers. It's helped them develop teamwork, sharing ideas, and practicing effective communication.
We are beyond appreciate of your generosity.”

Funded Nov 20, 2014I want to express my gratitude for your very generous donation. Thanks to you all, the Lincoln Computer Lab has been outfitted with 35 brand new pairs of headphones! They arrived in the mail in January and are proving to be a wonderful teaching tool. As you can see from the pictures I uploaded, my students are using them on a very frequent basis. These headphones have allowed my kids to do so many new activities they otherwise would be unable to do. We have a high population of English Language Learners at the Lincoln. Therefore, materials like these truly benefit language acquisition skills.
Your donation is benefiting so many students as our school community is made up of 650 students in grades K-5. I hope you like the "thank you" picture I uploaded. It's one of our fourth grade classes who use the headphones for an English Language Arts program called Achieve3000. We were discussing how we could thank our donors for their donations. So, they came up with the idea you see on screen.
Again, I sincerely appreciate your support.
Kind regards,
