  • Ink to Keep Writing in Class

    Funded Jun 5, 2025

Thank you so much for supporting my project. I decided to support my writers with this material and by the end of the school year, most of them were real writers. I want to reach this learning goal once again with your amazing donation. It seems this supply is magical!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cisneros

  • Let’s Say No to Germs in Class

    Funded May 6, 2025

Thank you for providing hygiene skills for all my students. It just came on Teacher's Appreciation Day, so I take it as one of my best presents.

My students are used to pumping sanitizer all the time and I want them to keep having this type of habit forever. Holding sanitizers in my classroom invites my teaching to stay safe and be engaged in class which are my two pillars as a teacher.”

  • Paper To Run Copies!

    Funded Feb 6, 2025

Students saw our custodian bringing two heavy boxes to our classroom and they were extremely curious to know what was inside. When I mentioned that we got a donation of copy paper for our classroom, they were so happy and relieved that smiles were all around me.

This donation is essential when you know that students are visual learners, and they need to manipulate paper to understand what to do in class. Students carry folders in class where they are full of sentence frames, conversation starters, and multiplication charts. All of them are hard copy material because they need to feel the paper to learn.

Soon we will begin working on our last project of the year where paper is essential. Your donation will be a great help to make my students feel engaged with their learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cisneros

  • Let's Do Our Warm-Ups!

    Funded Jan 14, 2025

Two big boxes arrived in our classroom weeks ago and my students were eager to see the items that were inside. They saw it and found that there were two types of warm up. Most of them were so happy because they are working hard to close academic gaps. Well, I decided to write their first names, and we began using them.

These tools are the best for transitioning from one subject to another or when launching our class. Students are engaged when reading and making connections with the reading or solving math problems related to decimals and fractions.

Overall, these items fit my student's needs, and I hope they are getting ready to thrive during state test.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cisneros

  • Colorful Boards to Share Global Issues!

    Funded Jan 3, 2025

Your big boxes full of your donations arrived this week. Nothing makes my students happier than working as a team and using creativity.

Well, this happened yesterday when creating posters to all the classroom to promote Spirit Day for next week and your donations were gems for us. Based on drawing and language conventions, we sorted posters today to decide which ones are for lower grades and upper grades.

By tomorrow your donation will be part of every classroom and I would like to express my gratitude and recognition to you for supporting my students.”

  • Ink, Ink, Ink!

    Funded Jan 12, 2025

Students are always happy when they see me carrying a box and they all eyes to see what is inside. When they realized there is enough ink for our printer, they were showing confidence and compromise to do the right thing and keep learning.

As I already explained, most of my students are visual learners. Even though I use a Google Drive where I post different documents, many of them ask to print the document instead.

Just because of your donation, I feel safe when running copies students need to thrive in 5th grade.

Your generosity is appreciated, and this is a real example for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cisneros

  • A Refill for My Pen to Keep Working!

    Funded Dec 20, 2024

The box full of refills for our pens arrived this week and my students were so excited and relieved when observing we have enough refills for every student for at least two months.

My students are becoming great writers, and they are now experts when using pens. I do remember, back in August 2024, how difficult it was to take notes quicky and to create essays. This is not our case anymore and I think the big difference was to challenge them to use a pen since the very beginning of our school year.

This has happened because of great donors like you who gave us the right tool to make a big learning difference.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cisneros

  • Go California and Rachel Carson!

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

Our donations arrived this morning and observing my student's curiosity and eagerness to see what is inside the box makes me smile all the time. As soon as they saw the books all crispy and smelling new, they asked me when we would be reading them as a team and my answer was, "Soon".

Our school curriculum is based on six planners and one of them covers all the lessons about conserving the planet. Rachel Carson's books will be the right tool to make my students analyze, debate, compare, paraphrase, and internalize how important is to care about our planet.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cisneros
