    Thank you so much for your generous gifts. The different colored paper has made a huge difference with organization; students are able to find assignments quickly without too much fuss! Having a printer in my classroom lets me make copies and print things without running back and forth to the copier. This has saved me time, money, and a lot of frustration (the school copier breaks a lot!) It means so much to me, knowing that there are people out there who care about education as much as I do. I couldn't do it without you!”

  • Virtual Learning: We Can Do It!

    Wow, what a year it has been! We went from fully virtual, to hybrid, back to virtual and then hybrid again! The landscape of education has been forever changed by this global pandemic. My students (and me too!) absolutely love PearDeck. We like using it for social emotional learning prompts as well as our standard science class. It helps keep students engaged and focused on the lesson. We also use PearDeck to help us review and vocabulary and strengthen our understanding of science-specific words. These materials will make a difference in my students' lives because it will give them the opportunity to focus on their classwork without worrying about how they are going to get their materials. Currently, everything I have is either begged or borrowed (or purchased with my own money). A lot of the materials we use for projects are consumables, like paper or glue. Sharing 5 glue sticks with over 30 students is frustrating for me and for them. They just want to learn! As a new teacher, these supplies are the fundamental building blocks of my classroom. If everyone has access to their own supplies we'll be able to focus on what's really important: science.
