Having current, fresh and relevant books in the library will encourage students to read more on their own time. Research supports the fact that the more students read, the better they do in school. The more they engage in their studies, and the more interested they are in the world and people around them. Many of the students here don't have books at home, so they are excited to have world of reading and knowledge at their fingertips in their school library. Having books in this library that reflect who they are, what interests them, and what they dream about is inspiring to my students.
