  • Please Support Our Board Game Club!

    Funded Aug 23, 2022

Thank you so much for the boardgames. My students use them multiple times a week and love them! The boardgames are impressive learning tool that provides and outlet for my more active students. The boardgames are used both in the after school club and in the classroom. Photosynthesis is currently being played in the 10th grade Biology class. Students are taking turns to leave the traditional classroom setting to come to the library to have an opportunity to not just play the game but actually see how light hits the trees and so photosynthesis can take place.

Thank you so much for all your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lewis

Thank you so much for fostering a love of learning in my library. My students are benefitting from your generosity. My students who are challenged with anxiety are finding the rhythmic knitting machine very relaxing. They are especially happy with the end results! Students are always happy and excited to make a hat or scarf. Students in the after school maker club are making hats and scarves to donate to a local shelter too. We have been receiving yarn donations too! These donations will be used for our future knitting endeavors!”

  • Practice Mindfulness Through Embroidery

    Funded May 3, 2022

Students loved the sashiko activity. At first, students were confused and slightly overwhelmed at the idea of embroidery. So many student do not have the opportunity to perfect their fine motor skills let alone practice mindfulness in their daily life, however, fifteen minutes into the activity all of the students were quietly engaged in embroidery. Each student was taking their time, working diligently and enjoying the activity. By the end of the hour each student was well on their way to fully decorating their dish towel. Many students brought me their completed embroidered dish towel the next week. They showed me the completed items with proud smiles on their faces.”

  • Help Us Decorate for Comic Con!

    Funded Feb 27, 2022

Thank you so very much for funding this endeavor. Your endless support mean the world to my students and me. Students experienced an extra special comic con because of your succor. Your generous donation was the icing on the cake! The decorations were an absolute hit. The splash of color and the extra large cardboard cutout of the hulk was so fun and special. The tablecloths were perfect and we had enough for both days of comic con. Again, thank you so much for everything you do four my students!”
