Kindergarten: Supplies We Love!

Dear Donors,

Our class is truly thankful for your generosity. The supplies that you donated are so engaging. The fat pencils make our emergent writing effortless. The pencils, along with the fat crayons, have made such a difference in our ability to convey messages through drawing and sounds we know. They are both so easy to hold and use. As you can see from our self-portraits, we greatly enjoy using the People Color crayons. It is quite easy to find a color that closely resembles our hair and skin tone. As their teacher, I can tell you that the children are delighted when they hold a crayon to their skin and find a match!

We are using the journals for recording our experiences during our workshop time. When we explore all the offerings found in our literacy, math, science, social studies, housekeeping, blocks, and transportation centers, our journals give us the ability to document our learning with illustrations and our burgeoning written vocabulary.
