The young scholars in my class are from a very diverse neighborhood in Washington, D.C. My students are visual and kinesthetic learners that learn best when they can interact with materials, which is why these interactive classroom tools will benefit our classroom. The students in my class are Second Graders at a Title I school. Over 90 percent of students at our school quality for free/reduced lunch. There is a diverse group of students in my class--about half of the students in my class are black and the other half are Latino. Many of the students in my class are English Language Learners. My students are eager to learn and are grateful for the opportunities offered to them in the classroom.
