  • Celebrating Self Expression With Cricut

    Funded Jan 1, 2022

    Because of generous donors like yourself, our students can now design and create with our new Cricut Maker and supplies. We have vinyl in multiple colors to produce signs and t-shirts and to customize practically anything. This gives our students a way to express themselves creatively. The possibilities are endless now that we have the supplies available for our children. It is amazing to watch students work collaboratively to make an idea come to life. The process is teaching them many skills that will make them better prepared for the future, so for this, we are truly grateful.”

  • SO Many Reasons to SEW

    Thank you for your generous contributions and thoughtfulness. Our Lancer Lab MakerSpace now how a sewing machine and supplies so that our students can create. Many of our students made tie-dye fabrics in their art class then transformed the fabric into pillows. Students were excited to continue to work on their projects in our MakerSpace during their free time. It was exciting to watch the process unfold and to see the the excitement as their pillows took shape. We look forward to creating more projects together.”

  • Creating a Makerspace: Equity for Our Students!

    Because of generous donors like yourself, our students can design and create 3-dimensional objects with our new 3-D printer. We now have enough filament in multiple colors to produce all of our students' creations. The possibilities are endless now that we have the supplies available for our children. It is amazing to watch students work collaboratively to make an idea come to life in three dimensions. The process is teaching them many skills that will make them better prepared for the future, so for this, we are truly grateful.”

    Our Read2B contest winner received a brand new iPad and Otterbox protective case thanks to your kindness and generous donations. This iPad will allow our student to participate in her classes remotely, communicate with her teachers and peers through email, and complete her assignments with ease. She will also be able to download many of our reading apps so that she can continue to fulfill her passion for reading independently. We are so proud of her and thankful to all of you for making this possible.”

We are teaching the students how to access eBooks but many of our students do not have the appropriate technology that we often take for granted. We would like to award iPads to two of our students as a reward for reading the most books. This will allow them to continue to read independently and hopefully make it easier for them to complete their assignments during this challenging time.

About my class
