Cool Down in Fifth
Funded Aug 23, 2021We are so thankful for your donation of the air conditioning unit and fan. This huge unit is able to cool down my entire classroom. It us such a relief to know that my students can learn in a calm and cool environment. Without it, academics would be difficult to accomplish!
We turn the unit on first thing in the morning to get the room ready for the hot Michigan late Summer. We begin school in August, so this finally makes it bearable. The kids love coming in from outside or PE class to a cool classroom where we can resume learning.”

Virtual Tools
Funded Dec 16, 2020I was able to receive a brand new computer to teach with because of your support! This year I am teaching a hybrid of in-person and virtual, so I am always attached to my computer throughout the day. Having a computer that is fast and capable of having many tabs and programs open is key! Most days I am running a projector, document camera, and Google meet to meet the needs of all 30 students I am teaching.
This computer allows me to feel prepared and able to do my job to the best of my ability.”

Funded Dec 13, 2020We absolutely love our seat cushions! These are the perfect solution to a student who is wiggly in their seat- almost everyone- and needs a break while still doing their work! We leave them in a spot in the room where they are always available to take. This gives my students the independence to recognize what they need and be able to do it on their own.
I love being able to provide students with seating options and these choices are often really expensive. This is a perfect alternative that was extremely affordable, thanks to you!”

Funded Dec 13, 2020With your donations I was able to purchase several packets from a website I use very often, Teacher Pay Teacher. This website has products made by teachers, sold by teachers, and purchased by teachers. The packets I purchase are fun and curriculum aligned.
As the school year winds down, students and myself start to get antsy and are reading for a change! This TpT gift card allowed me the chance to purchase new, fun products for us to use to spice up the day! I am so thankful I was able to do that and not worry about being common core aligned- because it all is!
Thank you so much again.”

Funded Sep 22, 2020We now have a beautiful display of clip boards for students to grab and use in our classroom. My classroom is quite large compared to others in the building, so there's lots of nooks and crannies to work in. My students love to grab a clipboard and find a corner to work quietly in. I love being able to provide this choice for my students! My students also enjoy organizing the clipboards because they are in such a beautiful display or color. We treat these with high respect and students are very protective over any new item in our classroom.”

Funded Sep 16, 2020My students are now able to go into my library of books and see a variety that represents themselves! This is huge in the world we live in today. I wanted my students to be able to see themselves in the books they're reading and you helped make that possible. I smile as I walk around the room during silent reading and see these 43 books being in the hands of young readers. Many of the books have lists of students who want to read them next and that makes my heart so happy. Your donation has helped change my classroom library for the better and we are very thankful.”

Funded Oct 29, 2019My students and I are so grateful for your donation toward our classroom rug. We were not able to gather as a family before, but now can come together and feel united. The rug is used for all sorts of things- independent reading where a student can spread out and get cozy, group time with everyone, and a comfortable work space for my small groups during reading and math. This rug is amazing quality and will last me for many, many years to come! Thank you again for your generosity and making our dreams of a new rug come true!”

Wobble While We Work
Funded Aug 22, 2019My class LOVES our wobble stools! We rotate who gets them half way through the day and have a revolving schedule on the board. The students are so excited when it's their turn to sit in the stools!
Kids love to wiggle and this is the perfect outlet for my 35 students. They can wobble while they read, listen to a lesson, or work independently at their seats. The impact these have made on my classroom is huge.
I thank you, again, from the bottom of my heart and hope you know that your donation went toward an amazing class!”

Cozy Classroom
Funded Feb 9, 2019My students and I are overjoyed to have received our flexible seating donation. The look on their faces was pure excitement and joy. We could hardly wait to get the ball chairs pumped up! We use all of the chairs every day, all day! I rotate students that get to sit at the back table and use the floor chairs. They are also moved around for independent work. The ball chairs are assigned to each table and the students rotate them throughout the day. The responsibility and sharing my students have displayed has been amazing!”

Help Us Learn to Read!
Funded Mar 9, 2016Dear Donor,
I have been able to use the tools you bought in my classroom every day. My students use the Kindle Fires in Language Arts, math groups, and for free time. The ability to have educational apps is so exciting for my students and I.
Having these things have opened my teaching up to a lot more possibilities. The students can quickly grab a tablet to research something. Our favorite thing to do with the Kindle Fires is a free app that has an endless supply of books. It takes the student's interest and reading level and provides them with a variety of books to choose and read from.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to use these tools in my classroom.”

Mrs. Timm
