• Power Up with Ipads

  Thank you so much for the iPad! My students are using it every day in the classroom. They do research, use learning apps, and take it on nature walks to take pictures of what they observe. • Place Value Playground

  Funded Dec 14, 2024

  Place value charts and rekenreks have been an essential tool for helping my students grasp the concept of ones, tens, and hundreds. Many second graders struggle with understanding that a digit's value depends on its position within a number. By using a place value chart, students can physically place numbers into their correct columns and see how numbers are composed and decomposed. This has been particularly useful when teaching addition and subtraction with regrouping. Thank you for these place value tools.”

  Thanks to the Chuck Lorre Foundation for providing my students with these folded pianos and drum set. My students will be so excited to learn music with these instruments. The Boom whackers are also greatly appreciated so that my students grow and foster appreciation for music. My students will be able to express their creativity using these musical instruments.   Thank you for sponsoring my project " Read with Me" and providing my students with reading buddies to use while practicing their new acquired reading skills. My students have the opportunity to grab a buddy and sit with it the carpet area and read with them. The reading buddies have also helped my students that have anxiety issues feel more relaxed as they come into the classroom. Thank you again for sponsoring these reading buddies for my classroom.
