Thank you for your incredible support! Your generosity has provided us with essential resources, including a weighted vest, fidget toys, feelings pillow covers, and a date stamp, among many other items.

These tools are making a meaningful difference in our classroom. The weighted vest offers comfort and security, while the fidget toys help manage stress and enhance focus. The feelings pillow covers encourage emotional expression, fostering a supportive environment for everyone.

  • Hundreds, Tens, and Ones! Math, Here We Come!

    Funded Jun 23, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation. My students were so excited to get these materials and use them. Thanks to you, my students have base-ten blocks they can use to build numbers and have a visual to use to create these numbers; clock puzzles to practice and reinforce their skill of telling time; number match-up puzzles to assist in their learning of three-digit numbers; dry erase boards and markers to work their math problems on; and crayons and glue sticks to use in the classroom. These manipulatives will help keep them engaged and will help them reason through the rigorous math activities we have in First and Second grades.

The possibility of these manipulatives are endless and my students and I are so grateful to have them in our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Blaine

  • Just the Facts!

    Funded Feb 1, 2022

Thank you so very much for providing my friends with "just right" books. These lower level texts are just perfect for my friends who are not yet ready to read on grade-level. Although these books are on a lower level, all of my friends will be able to find topics that interest them and keep them engaged in reading while learning about the world around them.

Smiling faces and excitement filled the room as we opened our box of new books! My friends began looking through the box and found a book that they couldn't wait to read! Partners quickly picked out books and sat down to read together. These books are allowing my friends to connect in a way that makes learning fun!

Thanks again for your continued support of education and my classroom!”

  • Help Shield Us From COVID!

    Funded Mar 18, 2021

The current world situation involving COVID-19 has had a significant impact on my kiddos, as it has on many people. Most have suffered in some way from remote learning, wearing masks, and not being able to see and play with their friends. When school started in the fall, our desks were six feet apart. In a small classroom, this was hard to accomplish but we did! Once this project was funded and the shields arrived, I was a super excited teacher!

The very next day, I pushed the desks together to create a U-shape configuration. The shields were placed on each desk creating a protection barrier from the neighboring student. The shields snapped together to make it more secure on each desk. The morning the students came in and saw the classroom, they were so excited! The closeness that they felt even though the shields were in between them was amazing! I think the entire climate of the classroom changed because of these shields.

I want to thank you for your generous donation and to let you know you truly changed our school year! You are appreciated more than words can convey! THANK YOU!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Blaine

  • Read to Write

    Funded Oct 22, 2019

Words can't express how excited and thankful I am for your generous donation to my project. It is so encouraging and uplifting to see the support you have given my students and their education!

My kiddos were overwhelmed with joy to receive these much needed books! We will be using them as we learn to become better writers. These books will be great examples for my students. Currently, we are writing nonfiction pieces and a few of these books have set the stage for my writers! They can see exactly how a nonfiction book is put together and use it to write their own.

    Thanks again for your support!”

  • Crazy for Chromebooks 2

    Funded May 15, 2019

We were so excited to have the additional Chrome books in our classroom! No longer do we have to wait until it is our turn to have the Chrome cart or go to the school's computer lab to have this technology at our fingertips. I have seen an increase in motivation and excitement to use the Chrome books. The Chrome books allow the students to research, take AR tests over books that they have read during Reading Workshop, and work with various educational programs available to them on the internet. They enjoy Moby Max and Prodigy.

Our classroom has varied levels of readers. Having this technology at their convenience allows them to work on programs that will help increase their reading skills and math skills!! No longer do they have to WAIT! Thank you so much for this much needed technology."”

  • Cool Coders

    Funded May 8, 2019

I want to thank all of you for your generous donations. You have given my students the opportunity to experience STEM learning activities! With the Bee Bot starter kit, Robot Mouse, and Coding Activity Set, they will be learning basic coding/programming, input/output, problem solving, collaboration and teamwork. We are starting slow, but they are already so excited to be able to explore these materials.

Coding is an important piece of my student's future and being able to provide them with opportunities and exposure to possible careers they could have when they are older is a huge step in the process of these students becoming college and career ready when they graduate from High School.

Thanks again for your support of my classroom and my students!”

  • All Hands on MATH!

    Funded May 8, 2019

Thank you so much for your generous donations. My students were so excited to get these materials and use them. Thanks to you, my students have used the color tiles to make and work with arrays. They have used the Unifix cubes to measure in non-standard units. Students have been measuring multiple objects in the classroom, including themselves! All of my students are able to use math manipulatives and not have to worry about if there is enough for everyone to use. These manipulatives will help keep them engaged and will help them reason through the rigorous math activities we have in Second grade.

The possibility of these manipulatives are endless and my students and I are so grateful to have them in our classroom!”

My classroom is very diverse not only academically but also socially and emotionally. I have reading levels from PP up to 5th grade. There are students on free or reduce lunches. Some come from broken homes. Despite any challenges my kiddos face, each and every one of them strive to be the best second-grader they can be.
