  • Driving Diversity: A Golf Simulator for All

    Funded Feb 28, 2025

The golf simulator net and monitor have changed our school. Many students had no golf experience or even really knew of the game. Now, they are learning the basics. We can teach swing techniques in a safe environment and for no additional cost. The simulator provides a safe and accessible way to introduce golf. Students are engaged and excited. This equipment allows us to offer a new sport to kids who would not normally have this opportunity. Thank you for expanding our students' horizons. The kids are absolutely loving it.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Lennon

This classroom project was brought to life by Steven and Alexandra Cohen Foundation and 3 other donors.
  • LEGO Mindstorms: Where Imagination Meets Engineering

    Funded Dec 20, 2024

We received the LEGO Mindstorms sets. They are a great addition to our classroom. The students are already building and programming robots. They are learning about sensors, motors, and code. This hands-on experience helps them understand engineering and computer science. The sets make learning these topics more engaging.

This is the kind of thinking and problem solving students will need to be successful in high school and beyond. We appreciate your support. The students are excited to continue working with them.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Lennon

  • Unplugged Fun for Teamwork and Critical Thinking

    Funded Dec 29, 2024

The board games you generously provided have transformed our classroom! What was once a space of routine learning is now buzzing with collaborative energy. Students are deeply engaged and communicating in ways I haven't seen in a while since the phone and social media eat up so much time.

The games have fostered a vibrant environment where critical thinking and teamwork thrive. I've witnessed shy students come out of their shells, and complex concepts are now grasped through playful interaction. Thank you for making learning so much fun!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Lennon

  • High Detailed Engineering Through 3D-Printing

    Funded Jan 11, 2023

We are so grateful we are for your incredible support of our "High Detailed Engineering Through 3D-Printing" project! Thanks to your kindness, our classroom now has an Anycubic 3D printer, opening up a world of possibilities for our students.

This printer isn't just a piece of technology; it's a catalyst for innovation. We're already seeing students design and create really amazing things. The level of engagement and excitement is remarkable! They're learning engineering skills and creative problem-solving, and in a hands-on, tangible way.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for believing in our students and making their dreams a reality.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Lennon

  • Level Up Learning with LEGO Dungeons & Dragons!

    Funded Mar 23, 2025

This will be a great addition to the club next year when we get it back up and running! It will let kids learn the greatest role playing game in history with something so familiar to them. LEGO!!

We appreciate it so so much. Thank you kindly for your donation!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Lennon

  • 3d Printing Requires Filament and I'm All Out!

    Funded Dec 18, 2024

Thanks for the refills! We had run out of filament which is a real shame because I've got five 3D printers and countless student creations that need printing! Now I'm stocked up on filament for at least another calendar year. The colors and designs I can make with this filament is going to be awesome too. I really appreciate it.

I know refilling materials isn't the most groundbreaking donation, but I assure you it has a big impact. Thank you so much for your generosity. My students and I greatly appreciate it.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Lennon

  • Robots Have Lots of Pieces! Help Me Store Them.

    Funded Dec 2, 2024

Can you imagine having 50 boxes of LEGO in a middle school classroom? Now just imagine that many boxes but the pieces are screws, nuts and bolts half the size of LEGO. It would be an organizational nightmare. Thanks to donors, I can now keep things organized and spaced out for each class and group. I know this is not the flashiest of Donations but I promise you all, it is a necessary one. It will keep the class running smoothly and ensure we don't miss instructional time or lose our materials for the years to come.

    Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Lennon

The middle school I teach in would be considered 'Urban Public.' My students come from all walks of life. It is such a joy to see students from completely different backgrounds working together and learning from each other. Our Middle School has a great culture and students are eager to learn new things. I like to think they especially enjoy coming to my classroom because as long as they're into the science, I don't mind if they're hanging out with friends or on their feet or maybe just a pinch too loud. I think my classroom affords students the opportunity to really open up and explore content on their own while also providing a structure for getting them ready for high school and beyond.
