Remote Teaching
Funded May 7, 2020Thank you very much for you donations to fun the materials for my students and I. The students greatly appreciated have the materials to help them learn remotely. These materials helped the families as they worked to engage their children in this new role.
The student(s) were very excited to receive the materials! They couldn't believe that they now had materials that we had in the classroom in their homes. They were eager to participate in learning activities and share what they were learning.
These materials will continue to help us teach the students in a new blended format by providing the students with materials to work in school as well as at home. It helps to provide consistency for the students.”

Funded May 7, 2020Thank you for your donation to my student's remote learning. This package was extra special as the student received it during a difficult time in her life. This package provided the student with the hands on materials they would have had in the classroom, allowing them to fully engage in remote learning.
When my student first received their package, they were very excited. They couldn't stop smiling. She was very excited to have the materials to engage with for remote learning. She watched the caterpillars grow and transform. The art materials helped with creating and building on her knowledge of transformation. With these materials, my student will be able to continue learning over the summer.”

Funded Nov 18, 2019My students greatly appreciated these new resources. They were excited to create their own story bags and use all of the paint materials. The students enjoyed painting pictures and creating memories to share with their families.
When the students first received the packages, they were excited. They couldn't wait to open the box and unpack it. They loved the bags and immediately started to draw on them. My students will continue to learn about plants and trees. They will then begin transformation.

This classroom project was brought to life by PLUS1 and Beast Coast and one other donor.Little Artists
Funded Apr 27, 2018Thank you once again for your generous donation to our Pre-K Classroom. The students and I are utilizing their art supplies every day. They are using the various paper to create pictures to show what they are learning. We are currently learning "All About Me", and the students are using the materials to show a little about who they are. They are using their dry erase markers every day in the writing center as they learn to write their names and the names of their friends.
When the students first saw their materials they became excited. They all wanted to work in the art center at the same time to explore the materials. As the materials were distributed throughout the classroom, the students began drawing and painting.
After the students have worked on their final "All About Me" portraits, they will select the frame they like best, to display their work in the classroom. The collage pots will be used as a planted picture of the students to remember their first day in Pre-K. Once again, thank you for your donation to make art an integral part of our classroom.”

Pre-K Explores Creepy Crawlies
Funded Jul 27, 2018Thank you for your generous donation to our Pre-K classroom. The students are very excited about the new materials. When the students saw the new materials for the first time they became excited. They could not wait to explore bugs. They were curious to see real bugs inside of the resin. They used magnifying glasses to get a closer look at the bugs.
The students are fascinated by insects and bugs. They enjoy exploring the materials while at the light table as well as in the science center. We are currently learning about the change in the weather, and what it means for us, and other living things around us. As they look at the bugs, we discuss where they lived, what they ate, and how the change in weather affected them.
The students have been exploring nature with their families. They have collected leaves, pinecones and acorns for classroom exploration. We use the jumbo specimen views to explore the different artifacts they collect. They will continue to use the nature light table slides to compare with the objects they are collecting. They will continue to explore the bugs in resin as a safe alternative to learn about the insects that live around us. Once again, thank you for your very generous donation to my classroom and its students.”

Funded Apr 5, 2016Dear Donors:
Once again, thank you very much for donating to our Planting project. When the students saw the materials for the first time, they were very excited. They couldn't wait to explore the new materials and use them to help learn about plants. They were very interested in the root viewer, which is still their favorite item. The children were also excited to see the printer, and have been happily taking photographs of their observations.
The children are enjoying the materials that were donated to our project. They have been very excited to see the posted pictures of the experiments they have done. They use the pictures to help graph the growth of the plants we have been learning about in the planting unit. They were very excited to learn that they will be able to take home their individual plants which they planted.
The children have been learning about plant life, and will begin learning about how plants help keep living things alive by providing a home, shelter, and food. They will learn about how to care for our resources and about the many reasons we need them.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Lebron
