• Little Chef

  Funded Sep 23, 2024

  Thank you so much for your donations to our Little Chef's project. The students were so excited to receive and open their packages. As they assisted in opening and organizing the materials received, they discussed how they use the items at home, and what they thought we would be using them for in the classroom.

  The students learned about kitchen safety with the kids safe knives and cutting boards. They explored various types of bread with as they used the ingredients we collected for baking projects. They explored various careers, such as chef and baker, in our dramatic play area with the Jr. Chef set that was received.

• Start the Year Clean!

  Thank you for your donation to our classroom. Your generosity will help our students transition into a healthy, clean and safe environment. The Lysol and Clorox products will help us to ensure that the general use areas such as in class restroom and sinks, as well as toys, and tables are kept clean for all of the students to use.

  The storage bins helped to organize our classroom. This will help us as we transition between each unit of study. It will help us to ensure we have the appropriate materials for student learning. The post-it note chart paper will help me to record the students learning and post around the room to assist in recall.”

• Dress for Success!

  The students and I thank you for your generosity. The clothes that we have received have helped my students tremendously! The extreme weather that we have experienced this winter, has added to the need for extra hats, mittens and jackets. The extra shoes have also helped my students who struggle to maneuver the classroom in rain boots and winter boots.

  The families of my students are also very grateful for your generosity. Many of my families have expressed gratitude for the care and love they feel when their children are provided with the extra clothes that are needed when extreme weather makes it difficult to dress them appropriately.

• Printing Our Way into Literacy

  Funded Sep 29, 2022

  The students and I are engrossed in our learning. When the students first saw the printing materials, the students were very excited. With your generosity, I was able to bring the students thoughts and visions to life. This helped to create an engaging environment.

  Currently, the students and I are using the materials to bring to life our transportation unit. The chart paper, printer paper, printer and ink are helping us to accomplish this. The visuals help the student to record information and recall previous lessons and make connections to prior units of studies.

• Literacy, One Felt Story at a Time

  I would like to once again thank you for your generous donation to my "Literacy, One Felt Story at a Time". Your donations have provided my students with the materials to motivate them and encourage them to engage with literacy, rhymes and songs in a developmentally appropriate way.

  The felt story boards, felt story pieces and books help to engage the students during read aloud. It provides the students with the tools to retell the story and work on their sequencing as well as cause and effect. The felt mittens and smaller felt pieces help to engage the students in songs and rhymes. They students are excited to choose their favorite stories and songs and love taking turns to tell the story.

• Charts and Paper for Learning

  My students and I are very appreciative of your donations. We utilize our charts and markers daily. With the various types of chart paper, the students are able to participate in creating anchor charts that help them to share their thoughts, contribute to the chart by drawing their own pictures and learning about numbers and opinions by graphing.

  The pencils and pencil grips help the students to develop their fine motor skills while working on their early writing skills. They enjoy using the cardstock paper to create pictures, cards and notes for their friends and their families.

  The Kleenex products are especially helpful! They provide the students with the soft comfort of a tissue when they have a runny nose, or wipe away a tear after separating from mom and dad. Once again, thank you for your generous donation.”

• Art Is Learning

  Funded Jul 21, 2020

  Thank you very much for your donations to my student's remote learning. Your donations helped two of my students with remote learning. The students were very excited to receive their package.

  With these materials, the students were able to participate in our remote learning, and continue extending their learning over the summer. The students enjoyed the books they received as well. They love reading and loved having books in their home. The art supplies enabled the students to share what they have learned in the books through art.

  These transformation items will also prepare the students for the upcoming school year. Students who do not continue learning over the summer, lose skills prior to the beginning of the next school year. These materials will assist the students to continue to grow in their academic skills.”
