This classroom project was brought to life by General Motors and 5 other donors.Alternative Seating
Funded Aug 23, 2017Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom for flexible seating options! We have been so fortunate to be able to enjoy our new stability balls for the greater part of the year, and they have helped tremendously with engaging students and providing some additional movement in class to keep our students active.
The students were so excited when they first saw the new options, so much so that several insisted on staying in during their recess time to help inflate the stability balls.
Our classroom is ever evolvIng, and next year we will be adding even more seating options from great deals found at local garage sales. Stay tuned for more new pictures!”

Interactively Organized
Funded Jul 16, 2016Although it is still early in the school year, we are experiencing a positive impact with the use of interactive notebooks. It has taken students a little time to get acquainted with the notebooks, but it is proving to be an effective learning and teaching tool. Students are enjoying their freedom to use creativity in their learning, and I am also enjoying myself learning how to implement the interactive notebooks effectively. Of course there are some setbacks--the use of interactive notebooks is quite time consuming! As students adjust, they are becoming more and more efficient.”
