Having a space designed to support students emotionally and physically helps them feel safe and comfortable, allowing them to let down their guard to process. Childhood trauma, adverse childhood experiences, or a diagnosed disability can impact the classroom environment and make learning more challenging.”

• Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader

  Thanks to your donation my students are enjoying independent reading. Students see the value of reading outside of school and are improving their reading stamina by increasing the time they spend reading each week. We started simply by holding these new books in our hands, flipping through the pages, and learning how to choose a book that is suitable for our interests and reading level. I even notice that students and teachers outside the class are stopping by to borrow a book to read!
