When I first began teaching this year, I was only given a few items. I still need to build my classroom and make things work out for the best. I want my students to get the best out of their preschool experience. Dramatic play promotes social learning along with exposure to real life experiences. One day, a student of mine may become a doctor because he/she could pretend in preschool. Also, educational experiences can be incorporated. One-to-one correspondence, counting how many cookies you need to serve your friends, and thinking of beginning sounds, like “c” is for cookies (when baking in dramatic play).
