Literacy Games
Funded Nov 21, 2015Thank you so much for supporting my project! I am thankful you care so much about helping classrooms, to care enough to donate.
Thanks to your generous donation my students are learning language through games. I see their faces light up as they play the games, enjoying learning. They build sentences with each part of speech, or sight words and build vocabulary as they position the puppy around the house. My students are excited to learn and enjoy using the resources you provided.
Thank you again for supporting my students and helping to provide materials for them to learn.”

Supplies for Students
Funded Sep 9, 2015Thank you so much for supporting my project! I am thankful you care so much about helping classrooms, to care enough to donate.
The materials you provided are used on a regular basis. Each student has their own folder where they collect stickers they earn in class while learning organizational skills. Students use the index cards to create flashcards to practice high frequency words or new vocabulary. Students use post-its to jot down thoughts about books, class discussions and share with partners. These simple resources help my students grow as learners on a regular basis.
Thank you again for supporting my students and helping to provide materials for them to learn.”

We Love Reading Scholastic News!
Funded Jul 27, 2014Thank you for your generous donation to my classroom. The Scholastic News subscription is a wonderful resource for my students. My students now have accesses to current events in an age appropriate format that they feel confident reading and exploring. My students are always excited to get their latest Scholastic News then take it home to share with their families.
Without your help my students would not have had access to such an amazing resource. It helps my students build reading skills, vocabulary and an awareness of the world.
Thank you again for helping to support Donors Choose and my project.”

Supplies For The Classroom
Funded Aug 26, 2014Thank you for your generous donation to my classroom. Your generosity has provided supplies to start our year off right.
The students were excited to discover that they got to decorate and personalize their own bag to hold all their reading supplies. Our classroom is more organized with the folders and bins. We use the glue to complete day to day activities and special projects. By far, my kids favorite supply is the dry erase markers. We use them across all subject areas to practice different skills. The kids love having their own markers.
My students have learned to take ownership and value their materials that help them learn and stay organized.”

Books! Books! Books!
Funded Aug 26, 2014Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. My students received much needed books. They were very excited seeing the box arrive. Many of my students come from low income homes and have never seen new books. They are excited to read and explore their books.
My students read books independently everyday. The more selection and choice in their books the more excited they are to read. By encouraging their reading at a young age we can put them on a stronger educational path and set them up for a stronger future. With your donation their minds and imagination will continue to grow.”

Reading Resources For Growing Readers
Funded Oct 16, 2013I cannot fully express how grateful I am that you chose to donate to my class. My students were excited to receive their very own book baggies to keep and personalize. They creatively decorated their bags to make them their own.
The comprehension cards have helped my students understand passages in a fun way, boosting their comprehension. My students enjoy looking at the vivid photographs to boost their vocabulary, especially those still learning English. All of my students want to play the rhyming game. These learning resources have been a real success in getting my students excited to learn.”

Funded Nov 15, 2012Thank you for the generous donation to my classroom. The resources you helped to supply my students assist their learning everyday. My students are very excited to update our daily calendar and report the weather with the picture cards included. The pocket chart stand holds our weekly words and can be turned around to show sentences we can use in our writing unit. We use the timer across the day to help us manage our time and keep on schedule. My students also love manipulating the marbles to make patterns, sort and count.
Without your help my students would not have received these wonderful resources to assist their learning.

Reading Resources to Make Reading Fun!
Funded Sep 12, 2012Thank you for the generous donation to my classroom. The cloth bags you helped to supply my students with are helpful for holding our just right books we read everyday. They add something special to reading time that Ziploc baggies just don't' have. My students are very proud and excited to have these special baggies to keep track of their books. Also thank you for the TOOBALOOs. Some of my readers are still learning to read inside their head. This special tool helps them hear their own voice while keeping it to a whisper so they are not disturbing their friends.
Without your help my students would not have received these wonderful resources to encourage them as readers.
