My beautiful fourth grade students live in an area of the city that sees a great deal of poverty. Our Title I school does its best to provide a safe and caring environment that uses positive BEST practices. My class ranges from pre-kindergarten level readers to 6th grade readers, special needs students, ELL students, transient and homeless students, and all qualify for two meals a day. My classroom is a safe place for them to learn, explore, take risks, learn from mistakes, and grow.
