  • Visual Tools for Speech Therapy

    Funded Sep 20, 2024

Thank you so much for your donations and support. We are always so thrilled when we get the materials that we need to better support our students. Having this printer ink allows us to create a variety of visuals to use throughout the speech room and to give students to have in their classrooms, which help to support their speech and language growth throughout the school day. We love to create graphic organizers, visuals, printable AAC tools, posters, and much more. Thank you again for all of your support!”

  • Glow Boards & Books!

    Funded May 7, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations! My students and I can't thank you enough for your generosity. We are thrilled to have new glow boards and other materials to enhance my students speech and language skills and make practicing their speech sounds and language concept more exciting through the use of the glow boards and new books. The glow boards are fun an interactive way to utilize art and lights to illuminate speech sound cards and concepts. These items will be such a treat to have to start of the new school year next. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!”

  • Classroom Supplies & Books

    Funded Jan 17, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations! My students and I greatly appreciate your contributions to our speech and language enriched learning environment. Books are one of my favorite ways to emphasize speech and language skills, help students become interested in reading, and finding ways for students to relate to characters in books that may be going through similar things as they are. My students are always so thrilled when a new package arrives and they see that they have a new book to read in speech.

    Thank you again!”

  • Meaningful Speech

    Funded Jun 30, 2023

Thank you so much for funding the professional development course, meaningful speech in order to increase my knowledge and expertise on gestalt language learners. Having this course will help me to open up the world of spontaneous and natural communication for children who communicate with delayed echolalia, otherwise known as scripting. So many of my students learn and communicate differently than their peers in general education and require the support of specialists like myself to figure out how to help them communicate in the most efficient and effective manner. I want to be that support for my students and also want to be able to educate staff members on how to teach and work with our gestalt language learners. This course will help me to accomplish all of my goals.”

  • Literacy & Language

    Funded Feb 22, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations! Having these materials in my classroom continually helps me to advance my students language and literacy skills, which are essential to grow and learn at school and throughout the community. Teaching through using a variety of books is my favorite way to teach and make learning fun for my students. It is important to be able to allow students to read books with a variety of characters from different backgrounds, parts of the world, and who are experiencing different challenges in life.”

  • Speech Tree Co

    Funded Feb 22, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations! I greatly appreciate all of your wonderful support. My students were beyond thrilled to receive new toys to use within our speech and language sessions that specifically target their speech sound goals. Making my speech sessions fun and engaging is one of my top priorities and leads to students meeting their goals at a much faster rate than if we were just doing drill exercises. Thank you so much for helping me to keep my students motivated, learn, and grow.”

  • Books Build Brilliant Brains!

    Funded Jan 21, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations! My students and I are always so thankful to be able to share and read new books together. They especially love when they get to take them home to share with their families, which is what you have allowed them to do. My students are learning vocabulary from a variety of different categories this month for example we just finished a gardening unit and now we are moving onto ocean creatures and ocean based books as well as incorporating some potty training books for my younger students.”

  • Hot Cocoa & S'mores

    Funded Jan 17, 2023

Thank you so much for your sweet donations to my classroom. I was able to teach my students all kinds of new vocabulary, following multistep directions, sequencing parts, practice sounds in a fun new way, and so much more! All of the winter, hot cocoa, and smore themed books set us up to have an amazing hot cocoa and smores party where all speech students got to come together and practice the skills that had been learning all month in real time. These skills will be used throughout their academic coursework and at home when they need to problem solve and follow directions or recipes.

    Thank you again!”

These materials will allow them access to flexible seating meaning that they can get up and move to the rug, table, or floor pillows, which allows many of them to focus for longer periods of time and finish their work with less distractions. As a speech therapist I believe that positivity and giving children choices typically have a positive impact on their learning and will allow them to better focus and grow each day. These materials will also be used in order to facilitate my small group speech and language circles where we will be able to sit on the rug and share books, letter sounds, and all sorts of language enrichment. The whiteboard will be used to model visuals for students who need visual cues and symbols to help them learn throughout circle time.
